Evens named this week or newtown?? Anyone know what his injury was/is?

He got kneed in the pelvic region whilst taking the ball up on a penalty tap. Jets staff were livid the perpetrator wasn't penalised nor put on report. After reviewing footage Jets staff took the matter further resulting in the Illawarra player copping a 2 week suspension.
Fortunately Kane did not suffer serious injury & has made the trip over but whether he plays or not will be up to Matterson.

if it was deliberate which I assume it must have been to cop a suspension 2 weeks is soft. We'll probably see bigger suspensions for shoulder charges this year

Yeah ...he can't do any more than play well in whatever grade he is in...so good on tom.

He may yet do some good stuff for manly in firsts....esp if they get some players suspended as possibly mooted.

Never been that rapt in tommy as a player...but with a change of scenery and some luck with injuries he could flourish.

The fact we lost a local junior still rancours though.

IMO he's tall and 'skinny'.
He played well in the NYC, and now must work his way up to FG.
No way he's a prop, and needs to bulk up a lot to pay FG second row.

We need forwards like that George Burgess? who ran over our players to score under the posts.

His chest is very bulky. But so is Telletubby Kennedy's so that doesn't mean much.

Yeah he wasn't much for the interview was he. That's fine as long as he keeps coming on. He was strong and really looked like only one capable in the last ten minutes that I saw as I said in another post.
