  • Kane Evans injured playing for Newtown

don't know the nature of the injury, but apparently got smahed in a tackle and was immediately taken from the field, fingers crossed its nothing serious, he has got the size/power our first grade desperately needs going forward.

Not good news, hopefully nothing to serious. He should see a good amount of first grade this year.

Are you drawing the conclusion of an "injury" from the twitter feed which said he was smashed in the tackle or have you heard otherwise?

Poor kid has be jumping out of his skin to play footy, in the 2nd half Evans took the ball up & the opp ran towards him to tackle him then the player lifted his knee & it hit evans straight to the pelvic area causing him to go down, had to stop game to be
                assisted off the field.
Evans having scans Monday to check damage

Bigeyes, what are they checking for?, fractured pelvis/dislocation hip?

devastating news if it is anything serious, our youngsters can't take a trick at the moment with Moga's knee, Cordners shoulder and now Evans.

I would think if he's been kneed in the pelvic area it may be testicle related rather then damage to the pelvic bone!

Got told 2-4 weeks today by one of the staff at the club but should be able to find out for sure tomorrow.

                            Hopefully nothing serious.

                              IMO he's tall and 'skinny'.
He played well in the NYC, and now must work his way up to FG.
No way he's a prop, and needs to bulk up a lot to pay FG second row.

We need forwards like that George Burgess? who ran over our players to score under the posts.
