I remember Willie Wanka aaaages ago talking on TV about defecting to rugby. Probably the most intelligent thing he's ever said was:
"I don't know how to play rugby anyway..."
Sure Quade played league as a kid, but he'd be asking for a LOT of cash, and is not a proven League player. SBW is at least a proven league player...

I don't know what position he would excel at but it sure isn't halfback.
Dead set that's one of the most simplistic views I've ever read on this forum.
Fwiw 2007-2012 doesn't equal 7 years.

Cooper is a brilliant attacking footballer.Under the right coach and structures and given time he will be a match winner for whoever he plays for in the NRL and i think its a done deal that hes going to the roosters. What worries me about him comming here is his behavior. He has been thrown out of pubs etc he attracts heaps of media attention.Sounds a bit like Toddy to me.

No thanks. Cooper is a drama queen. The only reason he wants to play with SBW is to raise his own profile to raise his asking price no doubt. Sounds like a Khoder idea to me.
Copper has done nothing in the past 12 months apart from getting injured, pissed and in car accidents. The hack can stay in yawnion.
Chook.

As good as Quade is, it would be a silly signing.
He is a brilliant attacking footballer, but there are already question marks over his off field antics.
On top of that, in league, he'd be a fullback or 5/8, and we have one of the most promising young footballers going around in Sheck, and have just signed Maloney, so I see little room for Quade.
We would be far, far better off throwing any spare money we have at Robbie Farah. A good nine is sorely needed.

If you're assuming I don't think a player should be dropped due to ad form then it's a baseless assertion.

On cooper, Freddy was his idol growing up and went for the tri colours so I think there would be a little bit of passion there, although the price tag would be a bit much for an unproven player who has a history with knee problems. I would rather see him be the marquee signing for a new NRL club to enter the comp.Is that the full story,
or is your news limited?

I don't follow the S15 but like someone said Cooper had a brilliant year back in 2010 or 2011 and since then it's been one episode after another. Maybe when S Rice dumped him he's game went south and I'm not referring to the Rebels. After that all your hear about Cooper is the blunders he has on and off the field. Carney also had a brilliant 2010 but he's partying ways in 2011 were a disaster for him and the club. I am not keen to have read or hear about more dramas. One trouble maker(BJ) in the team is more than enough.
