If you could explain what Pearce offers that Benji or Quade doesn't, I would love to know what it is.
Nothing, thats why I am putting Pearce on the bench to come into the hooking role. I didn't say in my post that Pearce was better than Marshall or Cooper. I just don't think cooper will turn up to our joint.

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"
It's why Thurston and Marshall have never achieved anything without and genuine half beside them.
I know he can't do any wrong in your eyes wayne, but he needs to pull his finger out, I am however prepared to give him this year to prove his critics wrong

Do no wrong? He's a very good organiser who has a strong selective passing game but lacks creativity and isn't as good a defender as everyone makes out. I've always held this opinion and will forever argue it against those who refuse to acknowledge the role of an organising halfback.
Don't confuse having a different opinnion with bias. Unlike must on here my opinons don't sway based on a players form.

How is Hayne underated and dont even mention Hayne in the same breath as Barba and Slater. RTS will surpass him. If Hayne was so good why arent the Eels in the top 8. Why did they get the spoon? Why isnt he among the top tryscorers? Why do people call him overated???
Its pretty obvious if Hayne was good Eels should be in the top 8 but they arent because Hayne is an overated showpony. Same for Marshall second most overated. I would never want him here he only starts playing good come Origin because hes interested but plays like Bwaiff in Eels colours. Shows that he has no pride for Eels colours. Players like Hindmarsh, Burt and Ben Roberts have to carry the team while lazy Hayne does nothing
As for Cooper dont need him. Where the hell would you put him??????? And I wish we signed Foran instead of Maloney but I guess its just because Maloney is a goalkicker if only we had another goalkicker Uncle Nick wouldve gone for a solid player in Foran

Idiot....... Mods Obviously this guy is here to cause trouble... Ban him please!!

Everything in my post makes sense obviously your here to cause trouble because your trying to accuse people.
The point is we dont need Cooper and you dont need half a brain to figure out Hayne is overated. Seriously people saying hes one of the best ball players in the game and putting him up there with Barba and Slater my god. Slater is the best fullback of all time and Barba might end up being better than Slater.
The post was all facts. Im leaving this thread now trying to prove to merkins who believe Hayne is a good player when he couldnt even take them to the top 8 after a Dally and tell them that he is overated is like talking to a brick wall. Even Gould and co think Hayne has potential but only becomes interested come Origin.

Rejoinder: In the seven years the team has been lumbered with Wayne's kid, the only time we had anything close to success was having Carney here and a burst of energy when Freddy was coach. Other than that, we had the wooden spoon once and just missed it two or three times.
I don't know what position he would excel at but it sure isn't halfback.

Yea fair enough, I really do hope he delivers as I think he does have the talent to, he just comes across to me as a little precious But new coach new start
good quote john, brilliant at summarizing Mitchell Pearce as a Player.
As rooster fans how long have we been waiting for Pearce to come good ?????? Yet at the end of this season his management blow up a story of him wanting out and wanting a salary of 600K per season.
Why?
what does his resume read ?
A wooden spoon as a halfback in 2009, a grandfinal appearance in 2010 where he followed Carney's Lead, a short stint in the finals behind a very strong forward pack in 2008, and failed origin appearances where as halfback he could not organize the set plays that QLD have and this year missed crucial tackles.

Yes he isnt what people expected him to be but if he wasnt in our team wed have lost 3-4 games putting us in 16th place aka wooden spoon. Why because he sets up so much of our tries and wins us games. e.g lol@souffs, draqueens, knights games. Yes Carney was the man to lead us but without Pearce the 2010 finals wouldnt have happened.
Frustrated rugby star Quade Cooper's future in the code appears on shaky ground following more shots at Wallabies coach Robbie Deans and the Australian Rugby Union.
Cooper's frustrations have continued to boil over with a second thinly veiled attack in four days on Deans' tactics, plus suggestions he wants to join good friend Sonny Bill Williams in the NRL.
Sidelined due to a knee injury, the 38-Test playmaker posted a string of cutting remarks on his Twitter account this weekend which come at a delicate time in contract negotiations with the ARU.
Fresh from telling AAP that the Wallabies will continue to lose fans and Bledisloe Cup Tests if they play to a boring, conservative style, Cooper tweeted about problems behind the scenes before removing two posts.
"Might thoughts on rugby now is who's playing ... my thoughts on other codes how the f--- do we get tickets !!" one deleted post read.
"I love rugby but there's s--t going on behind and above the players the effects the whole organisation! Happens at the reds few years back," said another, referring to back-room problems at the QRU before an administrative and coaching cleanout which resulted in a reversal of fortunes.
When a follower told Cooper he should be allowed to play in the exciting manner he is renowned for, the Queensland Reds five-eighth responded with a shot at Deans' conservative tactics.
"I am allowed from February to May sir," Cooper wrote, in reference to his Super Rugby play under Reds coach Ewen McKenzie.
Another follower asked him if he would play for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 2013 NRL competition, to which he replied: "No but I want to play with SonnyBWilliams".
Cooper revealed he would spend some time with close friend Williams, who is set to line up for Sydney Roosters next season, in Japan in the coming weeks.
His series of criticisms come after Deans admitted he was close to dragging his No.10 in the 23-19 win over Argentina last weekend.
Cooper signed a three-year contract to remain with the Reds in June but it's yet to be ratified as his ARU component hasn't been finalised, leading to concerns he will be lost to the code.
His manager, Khoder Nasser, is currently in lengthy negotiations with the ARU but Cooper said he wasn't stressed about the situation.
"There's no worries from my side," he said last week. "That's all Khoder's job to look after that.
"I've agreed to stay with the Reds for three years and I love playing with the Reds.
"If (there's no ARU agreement) then I'll just concentrate on getting my body right for the next time I have to play."
Cooper attended the Queensland club grand final today but would not comment further about his latest concerns.
He is unlikely to make the Wallabies' end-of-season tour of Europe due to knee surgery, which was delayed on Friday for at least a week.
Cooper was involved in a minor car accident with fellow Wallabies Kurtley Beale and Digby Ioane at 2am on Thursday in Brisbane, just hours before Beale and Ioane were scheduled to fly to South Africa from Sydney.
