Originally posted by fletch View PostFred, unfortunately there are no indications that Smith will be given the arse anytime soon, Uncle Nicks whole plan revolves around Smith seeing his contract out and then Bellamy coming in for 2014, at this point in time there is no plan B.

Please do tell Fred. We need someone to blame when it all goes pearshaped again 12 months after his tenure begins.

Originally posted by fletch View PostI distinctly remember Uncle Nick using the "its bad for business" excuse as one of the main reasons to why the club sacked Freddy after a string of poor results and off field incidents, surely the current state of affairs at the club can't be good for business, only 8000 turned up on friday night which is one of the lowest NRL crowds of the year. Also the constant media speculation of a rift between players/coaches isn't a great look for the club.
Uncle Nick specifically stated he wouldn't let things get out of control again on his watch, what I can't understand is there seems to be no real internal pressure on Smith to keep his job, FFS we are close to recording our worst run of results in 22yrs, the Roosters have sacked plenty of coaches for far less than what Smith is getting away with.
surely Uncle Nick needs to put his pride aside and make some tough decisions, we simply can't afford another off season under Smith.
Don't become like a old boxer who has one fight too many because the longer you stay the fans will continue to doubt you whilst they too like our team are being bashed from pillar to post.
The easts to win term - and the winning formula no longer exists at easts anymore whilst you are at the helm of the easts group of companies .your set up of how you can't be challenged in any agm vote could be a big part of the loss of the winning formula due to your pride and paronia in being challenged by members at a agm.
think of others and think of how maybe your pride and ego has got the nrl offside as too the refs and the media.
Enjoy your retirement and thanks for bringing Freddy and Gould and the great years we had with Freddy .
