That will be a sad day.
Given Uncle Nick’s stance on drugs, I still can’t fathom how Cheese ended up at the club given everyone knew about his drug (and gambling) issues.
As for Uncle Nicholas, will be interesting to see how he reacts to the news of our players, namely Radley, being involved. I think everyone knew about Cheese drug isssues given he was caught on camera doing them before we even signed him so it is no shock to anyone.
I think Robbo was the like the young dumb girl going for the bad boy thinking “they could change him”. He said as much in interviews after we annnounced the signing. And like the young dumb girl we’ve been made to look rather silly.Last edited by HunchoRooster; 08-26-2025, 10:05 AM.

This will not be the last time our players get caught doing drugs because they are well off, young men in high pressure jobs.. get real.
It's just putting a needless target on the clubs back.

I don't get why the police would release Radley's name as asking to buy drugs if it is not a crime on his part.
And surely there would be dozens of other NRL players in those texts over time. Why just Rads?
Very weird.
The Robbo and Bennett pressers could be interesting.

I will be extremely disappointed if Teddy and Radley are confirmed to have knowledge or to have been involved. All this work by our club to clean up the culture within the team, and boot out the dickheads, and it is our most senior players who are part of the problem.

There's a lot of guilt by association happening.
7 players are now under the spotlight with some even in here accusing all 7 of being involved.
A lot of BS on social media will be said purely because it is the Roosters.
We just need to let the process happen and see what happens.

Coke is everywhere these days, and worst of all it is destigmatised among younger people.
It is now quite common in office environments in our major cities, albeit some industries more than others.
It's increasingly seen as a harmless party drug. And because it's expensive, it's viewed as a status symbol (just like a glass of Dom Perignon is).
Do I agree with it? NO. I can't stand cokeheads, it turns people into egotistical morons, the dangers of it are typically swept under the carpet, and I really wish it was not as destigmatised as it is.
But it also makes me puke that the NRL media (and the media in general) are going to clutch their pearls over this when THEY are the industry who is probably the worst for this sort of thing.
At my work we get breath tested quite often and also drug tested. The amount of staff, mainly young, that run the gauntlet and do the wrong thing is mind boggling. They see it as completely innocent.
