The way we played last weekend would appear quite a few players may have under their influence at the time

    • So a week out from nexts weeks last round clash on a Friday night Ch 9 footy broadcast. Gutter journo Chammas and tabloid Ch9 driving the “ hysteria “ whilst no charges laid against any Rooster players. One wonders whether the tabloid media has paid for inside info from north of the border.

      • Terrible look whatever the outcome Radley is a supposed leader, I hate how taking rec drugs is like nothing happened it’s not so bad even if it is a one off, what sort of an example are you setting? A leader is respected makes good judgement that others trust and follow and possesses a high degree of integrity how much of that does Victor have? Zero he’s liked because he’s one of the boys that’s it.
I don’t buy this bullshit of high pressure environment your supposed to set a good example for the younger guys, I except this sort of behaviour from the young guys not a married man father and one of the leaders of our club, he has let everyone down, Victor is the definition of idiot and if found guilty should be booted from the leadership group and if Nick wants this drug free environment make an example out of him and boot him altogether.
Teddy dear oh dear if he’s in on this strip him of captaincy at the very least, I have always questioned his leadership, I believe he’s a weak leader, more again like one of the boys and never understood why he was chosen over JWH (why does a captain have to be in the spine?)
Leadership is the one thing this club has been devoid of since Cords, Friendy, Aubo, and Cronk retired and is why we have just been making up the numbers ever since. Jarod was the last true leader we had.

Bitterly disappointed surprised about Radley not one bit, but Teddy I hope that’s just rubbish, because if he got in on the nose beers should be ****ing ashamed of himself.

Do you think it'll stop players from wanting to sign with us?

The biggest question is will this destroy our chances or galvanize the squad? I guess we will find out Friday night.

Could be a up side if DCE pulls out because he doesn't want to be associated with us

              • So the Cheese was named on the extended bench for his 1st game for Souffs on July 6. He allegedly told an accused drug dealer that he will be starting before this was made public. The alleged drug dealer then contacted The Cheese to say that he was backing him as an anytime try scorer. The Cheese allegedly replied that he was in the starting side which may have led to the person placing the bet.

I'm not the judge, you don't need to try to sell me on anything.

I'm happy for the club to announce that it was Diktor Radley, his long lost twin who bought them. I couldn't care less who bought drugs and what they did with them so long as they're not harming anyone else.

This will be interesting and imo it would depend on how conclusive the evidence is.

I reckon Nick would sack our best player if they were caught red handed. The reputation of our great club and his word means more to him.

                    • big difference between recreational drugs and performance enhancing drugs. unless rads has been caught on camera, or failed a drug test, he should just keep his mouth shut. if forced to speak he should lie (if he used). cops said they have no interest in him.

if allegations v brandon of passing info on to bookies the game v us could be his last game in the nrl. gone are the days when you can argue that the info you passed on was harmless. in fact it wouldn't be a good look for a bloke to do that and not be stood down immediately. what hold does betting have on the game? i like brandon smith and regret that his stint with us was marred by injury. him and sammy don't go down last year and maybe we win the comp but the integrity of the game is at stake

                      • I really hate how gambling companies have any input in our game. They are really no better than drug dealers or tobacco companies.

                        • Apparently there was a YT video of Chad vlogging the away trip. He has now deleted this video.

                          • I havn't seen any of the "Journo's" takes on TV yet. Are they saying they have evidence on Victor's phone? Has Victor's phone been seized? Is there a message from Victor to Cheese or does Cheese merely mention Victor in a message to his dealer.

Club seems to be in the dark still.

                            Sydney Roosters Statement

The Sydney Roosters are aware of speculation in the press that references a report we have not seen involving (among others) a Roosters player.

With allegations due to be heard in Court next month, the Club will be making no further comment until the conclusion of that aspect of the legal process.

The Sydney Roosters have procedures in place to deal with the sorts of allegations made in today’s written media and on TV. We will address the matter once the facts have been established via the judicial system. When in possession of the facts, the Sydney Roosters will take any necessary action, including any action available to us to defend our proud name. It is what our fans, staff, players and sponsors demand of us.

The Club has been in contact with the NRL Integrity Unit.

I think it's an unrealistic standard, yes.

                              • Passing on selection details to a drug dealer for betting purposes - if that's what happened - is a different category of wrong doing.

Reckon he'd be looking down the barrel of a big ban for that, if true.

                                Lifetime possibly.
