How did he win a premiership?

Surely that's his last game in first grade. Hope Robbo is "clear" about that.

        Does he even think?

SuperCoach has surrounded himself with Yes men.
Everyone on the planet knew selecting Townsend was the wrong call. Did any of the assistants or senior players tell him how dumb it was?
As soon as Townsend got dropped we started winning so he brings him back and surprise, surprise we don't win.

I feel like the blame needs to be placed at the feet of Robinson at this point, not Townsend. Nearly everyone knew it was a nonsense decision.

Townsend is done, plain and simple. Nothing against the bloke but he is not first grade standard anymore and is on the verge of retirement. He was too slow in the ruck tonight and too pedestrian because that’s the standard he’s at now.

Is it Chad’s fault for not being able to suddenly become competent again with 1 game or is it the fault of the coach for ignoring the “really clear” signs that nearly everyone can see?!

I fear Robbo will back his judgement, and leave Sandon in reserves longer to learn his lessons, just as he did for Sammy 2 years ago, and if five weeks of poor form by Chad at the start of the year didn't stop him getting selected last night, one more bad game probably means he gets selected next week. One very very bad selection error!

No doubt our strongest lineup would have been Sandon left-side and Walker right-side. But if you look at it from the point of view of getting Walker used to playing left-side to facilitate Savala on right-side then it makes some sense to directly swap Townsend for Savala.

The misjudgement is expecting us to win the game with a suboptimal lineup.

Chad wasn't great BUT there's blokes in that side that must go out with grease on their hands the way they just pop the ball so easily. Basic skills need to be addressed asap....I think we been there before.
