  • Chad's back ;)

Has he got an axe to grind with Cronulla or something? Interesting call...

He is the player most similar to Hugo that we have which is why I think he got the call up. He will tackle well, he will kick well, he will bring experience and that's about it but that shouldn't be a problem as Teddy and Walker are great playmakers and Watson isn't bad either.

I was under the impression that Sandon Smith didn't give 100% against the Tigers.

I'm not a big fan but he's probably the best option. His experience will be important.

He didn’t do anything well in the 5/6 games he had at the start of the year - nrl has passed Chad by these days unfortunately- imo it’s a ridiculous selection. Happy to have egg on my face though.

If chad was in front of sandon , why wasn't the halves pairings the last 14 weeks been Chad and Hugo? Presumably because sandon was better than Chad. And now reversed. Makes zero sense Robbo.

              Another confusing selection.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I suspect it's the case that the other boys have earned a rest and Chad's all pumped up for this return to Cronulla for (possibly) his last game of NRL in front of his family / friends from the shire.

Walker's a leader without him too. IDK... I'd be fearful of Chad channeling all his energy into this one. Possibly not even a May/Latrell style grudge match, but more of a 'one last dance where it all started' kinda show where he's doing it for the friends/family who have backed him over the years.

I don't get the sense Cronulla fans hate him or hold grudges? Suspect he might even get a standing ovation at the end as it's his last game at Cronulla.

I didn't see this selection coming.

For me, the most IMPORTANT thing for us this week is to get our defense in order. 54 points conceded in 2 weeks against rubbish teams is just not on.

Didn't he have a negative kicking metre stats in a couple of games. Short memories.

This guy is the sole reason we are not in the Top 4.

He was extremely bad but in fairness most of the team didn’t play well either. Him and Sandon definitely cost us the Rabbitohs game

Professor Robinson up to his old tricks. Also a remote possibility Chad withdraws due to injury.
