Mad professor Robbo at it again with his classic "ducks and drake" tactics. I think Sandon will play and Chad will fall out of the side closer to kick off BUT I have a feeling that this could also be a potential farewell/one last dance for Chad where it all began against his day one club (maybe it's just Robbo and the club being kind to Chad).
As average as Sandon has been in the last few weeks and yes, he's similar to Walker in many ways, for the speed of the game that it is today, Sandon would be in front of Chad by a mile, irrespective of him having a shit kicking game and being overall weak in defence. You'd think, just for 2-3 games till Hugo returns, a halves combo with Walker would make the most logical sense !?
Yes, things have changed but 12x months ago, Robbo and everyone said that Sandon was the future 5/8 of the club and would partner Walker in the future.

Terrible decision imo. I am not sure how anyone can justify the selection despite Sandon’s shortcomings. Did we forget how ineffective Chad was for the first few rounds of the year?
Everything positive that people attribute to Chad Townsend were attributes he had 2-3 years ago, not now. He is a poor defender, he is pedestrian and offers no spark in attack. I can understand Sam and Sandon being too erratic together but the very least Sandon offers pace and xfactor. He’s also match sharp having only missed 1 NRL game all year.
The club should have enough faith to back our million dollar halfback to be able to game manage for 2 weeks. Just strange. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve seen nothing from Townsend in the last 3 years to suggest otherwise.

Chad will guide them around the field and do the general kicking whilst Sammy will play eyes-up footy and be at his scheming best.
