If that’s the case I’d say Sandon would be the backup fullback not Hugo just based off their attributes and the fact Sandon has actually played fullback as much as he has a half in ressies and juniors. This would be for 2026 as I don’t see him staying beyond that. Hugo would either be bench utility or out of the 17 if DCE comes. Not saying I agree with doing that, but it’s what will happen.

Would Sloan go to a team knowing he would be playing NSW Cup unless there was an injury? He will never be chosen ahead of our current players. Would he be asking for that much less than what we were paying Dom?
Seems no logic for him to come to us.

Within the next 3 years I'd say Tedesco will be gone, Tupou will definitely be gone, Nawaqanitawase could return to Union if rumours are correct. If Sloan improves he could lock down a wing spot on either side or alternatively if he REALLY improved he could potentially be the long term fullback at the Roosters.

He's only just turned 23 so trying to work hard for a spot here at the Roosters might be more worthwhile than going to the Super League and hoping to one day get the call back to the NRL.

100% Mickie. They are playing some really gritty footy. Ricky’s style has those guys firing. Had breakfast with Ricky and a few of the boys earlier this year and there was a quiet air of confidence about them. Although many had written them off before the season started, they seemed to know they would be competitive.

The loss of Fogarty next year will hurt them massively. You just can’t put a price on a big boot in the modern game.

The Panthers may be looking to replace Thomas Jenkins who's off contract at the end of this season. I place Jenkins a rung below Paul Momirovski.
