Would Sloan go to a team knowing he would be playing NSW Cup unless there was an injury? He will never be chosen ahead of our current players. Would he be asking for that much less than what we were paying Dom?
Seems no logic for him to come to us.

Nice to see you filling the void while the usual stat Googler is on holidays.

DCE is coming, if he wants to, according to media articles quoting Trent in the last few days.
Hugo could play stand in FB?
Sando kicks goals from the sideline and is improving all the time.
        He could be a utility...play 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
I'd rather keep Sandon than sign Sloan.

        DCE 7
        Sam Walker 6
        Hugo 13, 14 15 16 17?
No way he should be left right out.

Sally is working on his completion rate thesis.

          It should be a masterpiece

They've scored more points than any other team this season, despite being one of only 3 teams who have played only 13 games, all the rest have played 14 or 15 games, they have the best for and against differential of any team in the comp this season, and they are $2.60 favourites to win the comp this season.

Imagine how good they'd be if only they had some decent backs!!

I look forward to 10+ word salad paragraphs from 6 explaining how all that is irrelevant, and he is right.

Marky isn't fast enough to play on the wing imo. He always gets mowed down when he's in open space. Sloan is arguably the fastest man in the NRL. Shut the gate when he breaks the line.

Marky Mark is more a strike centre imo. Big, strong, powerful and athletic but lacks pace.

For the right price, I'd definitely take a look as we're in a bit of a weird spot. We've let go of Dom Young, Mark Nawaqanitawase may return to Rugby and Toops and Teddy are getting older. Toia is playing great and "touch wood" Billy Smith stays on track and plays consistently.

Junior Pauga is out of action and I believe the only other kids coming through are: Tom Rodwell and Tyreece Tait ? - so unless we're banking on them, I wouldn't mind an extra player or two (especially outside backs).

In relation to Sloan, yeah look he's got loads to improve on but under the right coach and system - the kid could be a superstar. There's a bit of "Xavier Savage" style in him (could just be me) but for the right price - for sure !

Yeh them scoring the most points in the competition has nothing to do with Papenhuyzen, Munster, Hughes, Grant, Wishart & Fa'alogo. Not like they have the most creative spine players in the comp to help them with that.

Don't worry I wouldn't waste any time analsying why a $2.60 betting line at the bookies isn't sufficient evidence of a good 3/4 line, you and the boys at the local TAB can discuss that one. Sounds like riveting discussion based in sound logic.

Score tries = good player. Dom Young GOAT.

Xavier Savage runs as hard as Spencer - he’s quality - he’s got the skills but he’s also got the heart. Sloan takes it up like he’s frightened. You can’t teach that if he doesn’t have it .

Yeah but it’s a nice thought.

Let’s not forget he will only be 25 or 26 when he will be off contract. Pretty much the prime age for a winger.

Of course, I rate him highly ... could be potentially playing on the wing for the Maroons in the next year or two easily !
