Watch him become a much improved player under their system.
Dragons system is farked. They've produced the likes of Robson, Saab and Garrick to name a few, who have kicked on elsewhere LOL.

They are interesting stats Batesy but for mine regardless his yardage carries out of their own end are atrocious and that puts the pigs under too much pressure in today’s game to have a winger that can’t do them. Sloan will never imo have a good yardage carry in his game.

Howarth made the SOO 2 squad and i believe Anderson is Broncos bound in 2026. That's probably why they're considering Sloane.

I think Sloan would be one of those players that we could really use. If you look at our depth in the backs we've got Pauga who has 21 games and Ethan King who has 1 game, aside from that we have NSW Cup players who have never played NRL before and according to those on here that follow our NSW Cup efforts there isn't anyone that particularly stands out in that side back wise.
If we sign Sloan as depth we get a player who is comfortable at both fullback and wing but also a player who has 72 games of NRL experience. He has been a standout in most St George games I've seen and might be happy to play NSW Cup short term whilst he improves under Robbo, Holbrook and the rest of our coaching staff.
As it stands right now if one of our backline players went down we'd be relying on a player with just 1 game of experience and that could be problematic.

Almost seems like they've structured their salary cap to the point where they would rather have back up fullbacks, halves & dummy halves on more money than some of their top 17 outside backs & forwards. Think Fa'alogo, Pezet & Wishart. Not a bad strategy IMO.

Mikey Nassar who we signed as a fullback in the junior grades but struggled there this year and then ended up doing a decent job on the wing has unfortunately gone to the Dogs, so there's no doubt a bit of a shortage of specialist wingers coming through. Will be somewhere we have to consider dipping into the market potentially that's for sure.
