I think the Savala at 5/8 and Walker at half is a great combo, but i think DCE 5/8, Walker Half and Savala lock could work too.
You think if DCE comes he’ll play 5/8?

if DCE comes, it will be on his terms, he might even ask for the captaincy.

Roosters just aren’t listening most if not all of the top minds in the game including Gus Joey and others have said this is not smart but the club is going to make it happen robbo and nick are behind this imo they have the final say and that’s fair enough they run the club we will certainly lose smith Hugo might hang around for a year to see what happens as he’s a local boy just because Cronk worked for us does not mean cherry pop will anyway it’s going to happen imo

potentially savala in a year or so two if rodwell develops to the player they think he will!

I feel Sandon may make a decent 14 somewhere!
        Rodwell is tiny.
Hugo is the man for all seasons, he must be in the 17 every game....this season, next season, and every season after that.
        We don't need DCE.
        He's excess to our needs.

We need Hugo...he must be kept, good halves don't grow on trees.
Pay him well and he will stay, I believe.

Five years of failure trying to defend our tryline with variations of two small halves and no clearing kick, and some of you are demanding more of the same. Maybe we should have kept Lam and Flanagan as well.

If Gus says it's a bad idea, it's because he is worried about the Roosters being stronger with DCE. Every opinion he gives on TV is with self interest in mind. I am not sure Joey is the best judge either.

[QUOTE=Bansai Pipeline;n1102194]I rate DCE but 100% the better fit is the fins.

he’s just what they need. An old head to calm the farm and steer the ship.

Yes! Definitely! Go to the Fins, Daly! Go there!

What a cynical lot we rugby league fans are!

If Robbo goes with DCE being signed then I will Trust in Trent that the right decision has been made.
Sorry, they’ve been wrong before and they are very wrong about this! They must listen to the supporters and the rugby league people in the media!! Signing DCE is very bad for the future of our club!!!

Sandon and Hugo both have the potential to be much better than they are. I'd like to keep both but if I had to keep one it would be Hugo. He will make a good five eighth playing with Walker because we will only have one small half in defense, he adds a good long kicking game has a good passing game and is very reliable. His attacking/running game will improve with more experience. Sandon has already knocked back $400000. we probably can't afford to offer any more to a player who may drop back to Cup.

Hugo is the better long term investment over Sandon. For a 22-23 year old he plays with so much maturity. Perfect foil to Sam and he’s not small.

You only have to look at the Galvin soap opera to see that this is not a cynical view.

If Sandon saw a future at the Roosters he probably would have accepted the extension & upgrade offer he got late last year. The fact that he/his manager didn't even try to negotiate (to the best of my knowledge), they simply rejected the offer, speaks volumes about Sandon's future intentions.

This one did make me chuckle in the thread aptly titled the Daly Cherrygraph
                            Classic!

                            No one wants DCE.

Early retirement or perhaps he'll have to take $300k which is the going rate for washed up halfbacks. lol

Hugo definitely needs to stay. I don’t even like this loan suggestion thats been floated.
Madness to let Hugo leave, he's as good as L. Galvin already after 4 games imo which included the schooling of Adam Reynolds. I really don't know what DCE offers to the young pretenders, he's a very good player no doubt but no serial winner like Cronk was. If it was Hugo in DCE's place on Wednesday night I don't think that the Maroons would suffer at all, he plays DCE style.

I'm already a big fan, as so many others are, and a few weeks back he was a total stranger on the bench.
