DCE had 3 try assists (2 officially), almost set up another one and almost went in for a try also, his kicking game was phenomenal reaching the grass many times and turning the Broncos around, his defence was as solid as always, he kicked for over 800 metres, forced a repeat set and was a big part of why Olakau'atu had such a big game and yes, he put Olakau'atu through a hole from memory as well.

The pressure was on tonight, the media and fans have been blaming him for QLD's loss on Wednesday night, he's fighting for his spot and he comes out and puts on a clinic.
    Yep, well said MK.
The one trick pony responded to his critics.

Many on here just need to get onboard with the Sammy and DCE combo in 2025.

Munster/Clear/Luai/Hughes all closer to 90kg. Moses a bit lighter. Wighton was 96kg but he was an athlete. Freddy also 96kg had an amazing sidestep. Savala has none of that at 96kg and it will get worse in 2-3 years time when he is 100kg. They would all run rings around him.

and before you respond again with more clueless abuse, name me a few successful halves who were over 100kgs. There is a reason halves have been smaller than forwards for many decades.

      • Payne Haas looks likely to test the market in November.
He would suit the Rooster colours, the same as SBW did.

I read that last night. Haas is currently on $1.1 mill a year. It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out and how much his next deal is worth.

I like Haas. He's arguably the best forward in the comp and worth every cent imo!

            • DCE was great last night, and anyone putting him at fault for the QLD origin performance is just looking for a reason to criticise him.

With that said, I still hope we haven’t yet, or can somehow get out of signing him.

If not, I’ll look forward to seeing him and Walker pair up.

Haas will end up being one of the best front rowers of all time, if not the best.

I’d love to see him at Easts, however he’d drain a massive chunk of our cap that would normally be reserved for spine players. We’d probably have to clear some cap space by exiting the likes of Collins, Nat Butcher, Angus, etc, and promoting younger guys on less coin to fill the gaps.

I think it would be well worth it as there is no better front rower in the game and it could be the thing that unlocks our next golden age. Yes from me.

Listed as 98kgs which is the same as Anasta. That may be saying something.

How about Josh Schuster at 106kg?

                  • Other highlight of the Manly broncos game was Ezra Mam being loudly booed by thousands of people every time he handled the ball.

I get the impression he's the most hated player in the game now. Well deserved.

I’m guessing that stat is a bit old - and even then a bit understated

                            • Funny how Sandon plays a near 10/10 game on ANZAC Day and won 4 out of our last 6 and probably should have been 5. Yet he is the most bagged player in our team. Now DCE has that one off good game against a team who have won 1 out of their last 7 and all of a sudden he is the in-form half back of the comp.

Yes it was interesting wasn’t it? Ezra Gram, the fans aren’t stupid. The leniency of his punishment does not sit well with anyone. Except the Broncos hierarchy of course. He should have been sacked.
