Would you begrudge him if he was offered $5.5 mill staggered over 5 years? Halves with talent are rare these days, and the game is favouring little guys a bit more these days , and he will become more and more valuable the faster the game becomes.

Agree Zac - 10 years is way too risky.
I’d say 5 years with a 2 year option both-ways

I think there has been 3 players only signed to 10 year contracts in the NRL

10 years is long time especially for forwards to be signed to such deals
