We had two captain challenges and he got both wrong. That has to be a first!

Sutton to Keary " It's your responsibility to get the ball" WTF? now players must jump the fence and go looking for a footy according to Gerard Sutton. These clowns never seem to amaze me.

There was a ball in the in goal and in the bucket directly behind the ball that's on our players being dumb and Gerrard Sutton as much as I dislike his performances last night clearly explained that to Keary.

that said, we could have done better. lindsay called for the review cos he knew he'd been hit in the melon. he should have made it clear that he'd been hit in the melon by saying 'i've been hit in the ****en melon' and by bringing his arm up to his head re-creating what happened. hard for the bunker to miss it then. if we're going to call for reviews that highlight foul play even though we know there's no knock on (which i don't have a problem with) then we have to be all in.
and while we're at it, makes sense to have a review of whether or not the players stay down when they know they've been fouled. yes, there are reasons to play the game in the right spirit but not when nobody else does and it pisses us of when we lose out of it. plus, refs factor into their decisions whether or not a player has appealed for a foul. they assume that players will appeal for fouls and when they don't they can assume that no foul has been committed
I get the argument that we might be awarded more penalties if we stay down. However, I'd argue that...

          1. We probably wouldn't get anything from the refs. It wouldn't magically make refs more generous towards us.

          2. We'd run the risk of teams putting serious metres on us while we're down. IMO Robbo is right to teach our boys that you get up and play to the whistle. For the occasional penalty we MIGHT get (probably won't), IMO there's probably at least 10 scenarios where we'd end up doing stupid shyte because we're begging for a penalty instead of playing footy.

          3. It's all part of our mental game. If we start crying 'poor us' then our whole mental game would change.

We need to start a fraud watch on the bunker I'm struggling to keep up. Bad calls happen on the run but when you've got access to 15 HD cameras with ultra slow-mo play back you've got to do better.

ROUND 4 - Chris Butler incorrectly penalises JWH for obstruction, try removed from Roosters.

ROUND 5 - Todd Smith incorrectly sends Victor Radley to the sin bin for a phantom hip drop.

ROUND 6 - Chris Butler Incorrectly deems force in high tackle that left Lindsay Collins bleeding from the mouth as only "slight contact"

            What else am I missing?
Absolutely agree. All of these decisions have been a disgrace. Add the obstruction call on rads when Whyte went though the line (but that was the infield official I guess). The NRL are so focused on concussion and yet Butler actually says he hit him high but it’s basically ok because he already knocked on.

Yes that was another one that O BRIEN conveniently forgot when he was whinging about how badly his team got treated by the refs.

Surely he's up for the sack soon. Left us declaring he was gonna make it big time as a 1st grade coach. Had an okay start but has done nothing with a stack of talent...

What teeth? Or is that just Souffs fans?

Like the Cheese hip drop. He should have riled around in agony forcing the game to stop. No injury fake or otherwise, no penalty.

Mate I was at the game and the ball was placed into the bucket approximately 10 to 12 seconds into the count down and the clock was still ticking. Keary assumed that the clock was paused after looking at the empty bucket hence why he was so casual.

so now we have an actual hip drop but it's not a sin bin offence...

A few from Trent Robinson that I'm sure most of us remember.

NRL Presser: Robbo blows up over the bunker! | NRL on Nine (youtube.com)
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

53rd minute. When May offloaded back and Sutton called a knock on and we challenged it. When the bunker said Knights knock on did you see Sutton's WTAF reaction? Two tackles later he found a penalty for Rads obstruction which seemed very tough.

Gus' fumble then hitting it backwards before it hit the ground was also a BS knock on call.
