young scored a good try and set up two which I don’t think anyone else could have set those up
also scored v manly which no other player in our team would have got
we finally have speed and someone who will
score over 20 tries this year and set players up
but we somehow want to replace young with a slow yardage winger
wait a week when young scores 3 and kills it and the mood will change
Agree he needs to be there for his speed and attacking ability when we get field position. He is getting targeted and smashed coming out of our own end though. He reminds me a bit of Toops a few years ago when he used to run too upright and get smashed. Now he has learnt to get lower and use his core strength. They need to work on that with Young.

It's amusing how one week Dom is "finally the speed we desperately need" then the following week should be dropped to NSW Cup.

After 4 Rds we are 2-2 which isn't panic stations.

But once again errors & penalties are a big focus again with a Robbo coached team & wins over Brisbane in a rd 1 gimmick game overseas & a struggling South's maybe give a false sense.of hope.

It's the losses against a tough Manly & clinical Penrith where we have failed important tests.

Our attack with Keary is a real problem which stunts Sam Walkers game.

Robbo's inability to beat the top coaches.

        Suaalii isn't effective at centre.

Manu is our only strike weapon.

Early days but hopefully it's not more of the same as the last 3-4 seasons.
In addition to what was said above the forwards have been beaten in the two losses pretty easily. I honestly think we aren’t hard enough up front and few of the blokes we have persevered with are not top liners.
I’d also say Dom Young may have speed but his hit ups out of our end are bloody awful. Suaalii and Tupou on the wings are more effective with Billy Smith at centre (if he is ever fit again).

And again young isn’t known for his hit ups
take him out and we give up plenty of tries this year
suaali is a winger only but won’t get over the other two so doesn’t have a place in the side once everyone is fit
it’s amazing the media made his as at the moment he really isn’t living up to anything

That's all that needs to happen. I don't think anyone is asking for him to be dropped.

Our outside backs are not winning their rucks and as a result we are gifting territory to our opposition. You can't even blame the forwards because they are responsible for plays 4 & 5 in a yardage set and they've been consistently trying to get the ball from the 20m line on the back of slow play the balls into a decent kicking position - I feel sorry for them.

In the first half we were averaging 21.5m per set, Penrith were averaging 53m per set.

Whatever happens after that is largely irrelevant, you're not winning any game of footy if you're not progressing the ball into the right areas of the field. That type of territory creates fatigue and fatigue creates errors which is why I think it can be flawed to talk about errors in isolation. Sure you can draw a correlation between errors and winning but it's the causation that's of more importance and we made errors because we were fatigued from constantly having to ruck it out of our own half and constantly having to defend our own goal line.

Second half we pulled those numbers back which is why we got back into the game but we still finished the game averaging 32m per set which is horrendous.

Our outside backs are not doing a good enough job right now in transition, which is so odd because it's been a real trademark of Robinon's coaching tenure.

Bulldogs will not pressure our outside backs in the same way Manly and Penrith did so I do not think this week will be a good sample to see if we have improved but Suaalii onto the wing is a must for me, his return to the wing last year was a significant reason for our turn around IMO, he just carries with so much aggression out of back field.

Add another W to the column when Suaalii is on the wing.

Thought Pauga was good at centre too, came in and helped carry well in yardage. Had a lot thrown at him in attack and his reads were good, just needs to stick a little bit more on his contact.

Good to see Robbo has found a solution to our early set carries, we were so much better tonight. I would stick with Pauga over Jennings based on tonight.

                Pauga for sure.

Younger legs & bigger motor. Jennings is only a stop gap fill in.

Suaalii must never leave the wing for the rest of this year.
