Same as we’ve seen over the years with Trents teams, an early season defensive focus and rustiness in attack. Will come good

Poor Tupou, if he got the ball when he was open

This is fair, although I suspect that the slow service from the said dummy half is a big factor in our forwards getting smashed. I actually think that's where a lot of our issues start. Not trying to be critical of Brandon, because he tries hit guts out and has his good points, but I think he's out of position.

Last week I was admiring Moses 60m+ kicks from deep inside his own half to relieve the immense pressure on his team. The best we can do is 30-40m low kicks which are caught on the full and opposition immediately on the attack. It is too much of a handicap.

Especially if we have discipline issues, which is our main problem.

Our problem last year was that we lost games we should have won I.e dragons, raiders, cowboys, dolphins, on top of our clashes with top 4 teams. If we are able to win the games we are meant to win whilst building and being more competitive against the top teams like we usually are by the back end of the year, then we can get ourselves a top 4 spot and an actually chance in the finals.

I think this year will be better, there have been some good signs.

Errors 10.3 per game (10th worst)
              Completion Rate 80% (7th best)
Penalties conceded 6.3 per game (6th worst)

Penalties and errors are not and should not be a big focus, it’s a tired narrative IMO.
What do you think the issues are R6? Genuinely intrigued.

I think it's the timing of our errors at times that really hurts us. Especially since the intro of 6 again.

The Whyte drop ball was the game changer.

After 4 Rds we are 2-2 which isn't panic stations.

But once again errors & penalties are a big focus again with a Robbo coached team & wins over Brisbane in a rd 1 gimmick game overseas & a struggling South's maybe give a false sense.of hope.

It's the losses against a tough Manly & clinical Penrith where we have failed important tests.

Our attack with Keary is a real problem which stunts Sam Walkers game.

Robbo's inability to beat the top coaches.

                    Suaalii isn't effective at centre.

Manu is our only strike weapon.

Early days but hopefully it's not more of the same as the last 3-4 seasons.

                    It's looking that way.

Robbo needs to get our defensive line speed as the same as the Panthers.

                      They suffocated us.

Are they that much fitter than everyone else over 80min or just know how to push the offside boundaries better?

they are not that much fitter, but generally their back 3 carry the ball big metres allowing their forwards to rest and not having to get all the way back on the first and second tackle.

it's simple bur real effective , but you need the players .

It's where and when the penalties are given.

We get penalties on early tackles inside our own 20. They get 3 repeat sets of six on our line. We attack them, score a fair try and lose it via the bunker which gifts Penrith a penalty to get out of their end.

Re mistakes. Whyte, Sitilli and E Butcher coughed up the ball coming out of our half - and early in the tackle count. I can cop a fumble if we're in enemy territory and have tried a bit of ad-lib attack. It worked last week with those flukey kicks that we don't normally regather, let alone score tries from.

I knew we haven't beaten Penrith for a while but didn't realise they've won 9 in a row against us.

And if we can't beat them without Cleary & JFH then it's fanciful to think we'll trouble them in the finals unless they have a bad day which doesnt happen often.

Surely Robbo can devise a plan/strategy to not make it 10,11,12....etc
