I know the Chooks have enough backrowers but is there any chance Suaalii maybe considered to play backrow?

The way I see it. I think Wong offers more than E. Butcher and Tupou's loyalty should get him in over Suallii. Is Crighton in the mix or is he going to rugby? At his best, he makes the top 13.

They need to sort out the problems with the Keary and Walker halves combo and make this combo work from round 1 2024
We won't be ripe unless our halves fire.

              18. Whyte. First forward in for an injured forward (except hooker).

                Reason
Because Smith was very good at centre & Suaalii wasn’t.
Which is why I have Billy Smith in my 17 and not Suaalii.

I have heard the murmours that Young wants to play centre or will be used there and that doesn't excite me either. Billy Smith should be the centre barring injury.

Can we all swallow our pride and admit that if Suaalii is staying, Billy Smith is not making the 17. I like Billy. His end of season form was tremendous, but realistically who gives us the better chance of winning games.

The idiot Sally KAKFA will be death riding Sammy now since his idol the Handbrake got the arse to the Doggies.
Seems like coach Robinson fonally woke up and Sally is throwing a hissy fit.
                    Anyway, makes my day.

I am under no illusions that will be the case. Not so much my pride, just that I feel if Suualii is eventually going, it makes more sense for us to show faith in a long-term option in Billy Smith. I'm a big Suualii fan but I don't think he is so good that he MUST play in the side. It's not like he guarantees tries/wins for us like a Joey Manu for example. Dom Young is similar. Based off this season and the fact he signed with us over the 7 other clubs chasing him, he is playing.

I do agree though, IF he stays, I cannot see Suualii playing ressies on the money he is on. Billy will be the odd man out.

But we say what happened when sewarlee went to 2poos side. No tries to Daniel and sewarleee was sh1t. there is nowhere for him but 2nd row. Dom and Joey M on the right. 2poo and Billy on the left.

Suualii for me on the wing but if the last couple of years are anything to go by, we need significant depth in backline so it won't be too long before Young gets his chance.
Thanks for bringing up the elephant in the room. A lot of terrible defensive reads that could be alleviated if he just stayed on him man in defence.

If you are talking at left-centre, Billy does.

Buzz saying Suaalii might be looking to get out of his ARU deal based on how shit they are.
Can't see it happening as he won't get anywhere near that money in the NRL. Well at least not with us.
But I can't see him going to RU next year.

JS and Toups will start off at wing. Billy or Young in the centres. Toss a coin.

Toupu may be the unlucky one if both Big Joe and Young are healthy

He is great depth to have, plus he will be a yr older and even more injury prone

Watson is like Toupo, pure backup for Sandon Smith

Sandon Smith can replace anyone in the spine, and is necessary

2 Props ( May & JWH ) and Sandon only leaves one more on the bench. If Angus leaves, it will probably be Wong ( Sitili/ Nat & Radley )
