Locking up Welch's right arm and stopping his offloads will be a key for me as it frees up Grant and allows Munster to play ad lib footy against a broken line.
The best thing about our late season form has been our defence and scramble which was missing for the majority of the year.
Hughes is a big out as it shifts the responsibility of the kicking game entirely on Munsters shoulders.
Really worried about Calvin the Clown and his penchant for calling our defenders out by name as soon as they make a tackle to ensure a quick play the ball yet allowing the opposition to wrestle and slow down the play the ball.
    Not confident but hopeful.
    Easts to win

Just saw the boys down at the mcg. Looking like a very cohesive crew. Steely looks on their faces. Get on. Load up

I spend a fair bit of time reading other footy forums and always laugh at this. Every single forum for every other team complains about team selections, discipline, referees and the media. All the same stuff you read here on the daily.

I would posit that probably the coaches who have been in the game for about 40-years generally know more than the average fan, though.

Yep sack Bellamy... Storm have choked the past few years and there's too many injuries... clearly Bellamy's past it :P

(Yet when people say it about Robbo on here they're saying it with a straight face).

It's an 80 minute game but the first 20 to 25 minutes will show where each teams heads are at.

The Storm I assume will want to hit the ground running and rack up early points to zap the Roosters confidence and take them out of the contest early.

The Roosters, on the other hand, need to stay close to the Storm scoreboard wise to stay in the contest.

The question will be where will the Roosters points will come from and if they will be able to create enough opportunities on the night - One may assume they may need to score 3 or 4 tries to have a chance of winning this game as long as their D can hold up that is.
              • Tedesco - 225 games - 121 tries
              • Keary - 204 games - 44 tries
              • Momirovski - 59 games - 26 tries
              • Paulo - 54 games - 24 tries
              • Walker - 55 games - 18 tries
              • Allan - 61 games - 13 Tries
              • Pauga - 12 games - 4 tries
Certainly, key players for the Storm that the Roosters will need to minimise their impact on the game are Munster, Grant, and Meaney, but that does not mean they should take their eyes off the other Storm players.

The forwards are fairly evenly matched.

The Roosters markers need to work in D and not go there for a rest - Need to shut down Grants running and kicking game from Dummy Half.

I am expecting Grant to kick a fair bit from dummy half to assist Munster in that department, who also needs to be pressured, as I have only seen 1 match where Wishart, when playing half kicked, Munster did the bulk of the kicking in that game.

Even with so many injuries I still believe that a win is possible. I just don't want to go out like 2021, where the injury toll become too much.

Like others have mentioned our completion rate has to improve as unlike the Sharks the Storm will take their chances if we turn the ball over on our line.

I do believe we have the better pack even without the big dog, but Grant and Munster are quality and minimizing their running game is the key.

I think we will get a few back next week, so it would be great to have a crack at the Panthers.

                Go East's !!

Our spine and forward pack is better than theirs !

I expect Brandon to have a big game tonight !

                  We can get em !

Should be a good game. Storm bounce back is always a factor but if they boys show the same effort as last week and tidy up some execution in attack we should prevail.

Does Victor have one or more brain explosions? that is the question.

I do worry where our points will come from with so many of our back 5 missing.. also we may need to get creative on last tackle in their 20m as we don’t have the luxury of just kicking it to Toops or Suualli.

I do love the comments from Robbo about the outs however. The focus is on who is in, not who is out, and what they bring to the team.

Don't see a lot of points in us, so its really important to play from in front, first points stuff. Then guts it out, make them nervous and the flipside is our confidence grows. If we are trying to pull then back from a couple of scores adrift it gets tough without our go to guys in the backline.

Grant is the best hooker in the game. Big night for the Cheese, and an opportunity he will relish. Our wildcard is young Sammy, we will need him to do something special and out of the box at some stage.

Need a fair suck of the sav from Klein esp with the 6 agains. If he let's them do too much camping in our quarter they're big forwards will find the line eventually. Klein has a history of buggering up big games, geez I hope he has a good game himself.

Tonight is an opportunity for the no-names in our squad to create their own memories. I know we are all right behind them.

                            Go Easts.
Sam Walker should not be expected to win the game by himseif
