This is a season defining game. At the beginning of the year we would have expected nothing less than a pre-lim appearance with the squad we have. A win tonight will certainly help ease the disappointment of what’s been a pretty average season up until the last few weeks.

Tonight we have an opportunity to beat a really decent team and stamp our mark on this competition. Forget about them last week. They will be a totally different proposition tonight. We need high completion rates and better discipline. We need to dominate them in the forwards. Even with 2-5 out, we aren’t inferior to them in these positions.

Plus a win gets Jarred a seat on the plane to Vegas. Do it for the man who’s done so much for our club.

We are a good chance I reckon . Hughes out for me is a big one but some won't agree. Our spline and forwards are mostly intact but backline has unfamiliar look but most are still playing in position.

What would an important finals game for Easts be like without being hard hit by injury? We may never know. This one probably takes the cake though.

I do love the comments from Robbo about the outs however. The focus is on who is in, not who is out, and what they bring to the team.

Don't see a lot of points in us, so its really important to play from in front, first points stuff. Then guts it out, make them nervous and the flipside is our confidence grows. If we are trying to pull then back from a couple of scores adrift it gets tough without our go to guys in the backline.

Grant is the best hooker in the game. Big night for the Cheese, and an opportunity he will relish. Our wildcard is young Sammy, we will need him to do something special and out of the box at some stage.

Need a fair suck of the sav from Klein esp with the 6 agains. If he let's them do too much camping in our quarter they're big forwards will find the line eventually. Klein has a history of buggering up big games, geez I hope he has a good game himself.

Tonight is an opportunity for the no-names in our squad to create their own memories. I know we are all right behind them.
