I hope they do. Storm are at their best when they play direct and create ruck speed for Harry Grant to pull teams apart. If they're busy going side to side and forget about going forward first, we will eat that up

Tonight, we will show why we are one of the best teams in the comp. We didn't show it during the year, that is why most Roosters fans were so p issed off. Good bye Storm for 2023.

      GO ROOSTERS.

Agreed with everyone’s comments here especially about that punk Klein he loves nothing more then leaving his stamp on a game. The longer we’re in this game the better we become.

If Klein keeps his whistle in his pocket this game will come down to the wire and I would back us all the way.

I think we can win this.
We are missing Toops, Manu, Smith and Suaalii,
but our replacements all have first grade experience.
Including grand finals and even Origin games.
          Allen 61 games
          Momirovski 59 games
          Paulo 54 games
Pauga 12 games but 8 this year, and good quality.
None of them will be overawed.
We still have all our top quality spine, which more than matches theirs,
plus we have as good or better forwards as they do.
Plenty of experience with Collins, Radley, Nat and Angus, plus youth and strength with Wong, May, Baker and Egan
The pressure is all on Melbourne.

They'll be sneaky, try to slow the ruck and niggle. Going by previous games we've played, they probably get a few 6 agains.

All good, we need to play our game, focus and not be drawn into the storm.

I do love the comments from Robbo about the outs however. The focus is on who is in, not who is out, and what they bring to the team.

Don't see a lot of points in us, so its really important to play from in front, first points stuff. Then guts it out, make them nervous and the flipside is our confidence grows. If we are trying to pull then back from a couple of scores adrift it gets tough without our go to guys in the backline.

Grant is the best hooker in the game. Big night for the Cheese, and an opportunity he will relish. Our wildcard is young Sammy, we will need him to do something special and out of the box at some stage.

Need a fair suck of the sav from Klein esp with the 6 agains. If he let's them do too much camping in our quarter they're big forwards will find the line eventually. Klein has a history of buggering up big games, geez I hope he has a good game himself.

Tonight is an opportunity for the no-names in our squad to create their own memories. I know we are all right behind them.

                Go Easts.
                Well written...agree completely...

I wasn't nervous until I read this thread, now I'm on bloody egg shells. Massive game for us tonight. Our discipline has to be top-notch. We can't afford to gift them too much possession or field position. The Bondi Wall must stand strong .... I think we can frustrate them with good D, and as they showed last week they can falter when things don't go there way. Even though they still have some great players, they have lost a ton of experience, especially in their pack. We keep the pressure on, and I think they'll break.

                      We can do this.

                      Go EASTS!!

Stop Munster moving his back and we have a chance..not worried about our forwards..backs is our problem..edge guys will have to work their asses off..

                          Lessssssss goooooooooo choooooooooks

Even though souffs exist, the Strom do my head in deluxe.

Grant and munster are the worst in the comp (not talking ability) no matter who their opposition is, they take a huge dump on the code with the way they play.

The first 20mins of them against the Broncos was a punish, funnily enough Atkins? got tired of their antics and ruck interference, and hit them with a few penalties.

Now the Broncos are going well this year, but it showed that without their unbelievable wrestling bullshit, they have the softest underbelly and have nothing to fall back on.

                          Enter Klien.

He has the power to shut them down but if he allows them to stir their cauldron of dark arts all game, it'll be a bridge too far for us.

I love the Roosters and they do make me so very proud.

Would love nothing more than to send these scummy purple cheats into the off season.

                          GO EASTS.

If we win this, i reckon it'll be top 3 wins of the Robinson era.

                            - backs against the wall
                            - so many players out
                            - melbourne in melbourne coming off a thrashing
                            - we've been red-lining it mentally and physically for weeks now (do or die mentality takes its toll eventually)

We've been getting by on heart/grit/determination/belief as of late...but that alone won't cut it this week. If we just turn up expecting that we'll get over the line based on effort/hunger/desire alone then we'll be in for a tough night. Execution is everything tonight. Passes have to stick. Kicks have to land where we intend. Kick chase has to be on point. Line speed has to be aggressive. We have to win the opening 20. We have to win the error and penalty count. And finally we have to have higher posession and completions than storm. We do that and we win. Anything less and it will just be another year of 'did we'll to get this far, tough year of injuries, blah blah blah...'. Been hearing that since 2020 and not saying it's not mostly justified...but just sick of it!

We win tonight and it gives some of the injury ward a chance to get fit for Panthers. Fingers and toes crossed!

Took a peek at the Storm forum. Interesting, there is very little confidence around they seem like a club doubting themselves now. Blaming Bellamy for poor selections etc...sound familiar?
