As far as the records go Melbourne were stripped of those premierships due to blatant salary cap rorting. They only "won" those premerierships as they had a massive & unfair advantage over the rest of the teams. What you think is irrelevant.

Seeing as you have such an idepth knowledge of what our team requires maybe you should go to there next training session & share your pearls of wisdom with the coach & the team.

Do you honestly think that the Storm are the only premiership winning side to have gone over the cap??? You are seriously deluded if you do!! For example just take a look on paper at the Brisbane Bronco premiership winning sides. Sorry to burst your little bubble but most clubs who can afford it "bend" the salary cap rules!!

Just a little example, take this as fact. I was told from the horses mouth of someone heavily involved in the Isaac Luke contract negotiations with $ouff$ that Isaac Luke left his manager during negotiating his last contract as his manager at the time refused to take money under the table from $ouff$. It was for memory either an extra $100,000 or $150,000 a season under the table. Isaac decided to sack his manager so that he could accept that extra money under the table. That is just 1 example, you can only imagine what $ouff$ and plenty of other clubs get up to! Also $ouff$ get away with plenty when it comes to the Burgess boys!!

I admire how you and others are loyal towards Brian, but you have to question at what point loyalty becomes an impediment. Craig Bellamy has a proven track record, 4 grand finals in a row with 2 premierships, most likely would have made it 5 in a row if the Storm weren't stripped of all their points in 2010, and came within a whisker of making the grandfinal last year. For Bellamy's Storm side to take out last years minor premiership was an outstanding effort considering what they had been through!! Along with Bellamy's efforts of having the Storm take out the 2006, 2007, 2008 minor premierships and he is well and truly on his way to winning this years minor premiership and most likely win the whole thing. Bellamy can attract the very best players to the club, I doubt Brian has that same attraction for players. Bellamy has the ability to reinvent older experienced players and turn an average player into a star. I have never heard anything bad about Bellamy's coaching abilities in rugby league circles, only ever praise! Do you ever hear praise for Brian Smith's coaching??? The best i hear for him from some league circles is that he is good at rebuilding clubs. Imo he didn't do a fabulous job with the Knights and in the end they could not wait for him to go. We had an ordinary, some might even say $hithouse season last year, and imo we will not be making the 8 again this year. But all i ever hear is excuse after excuse after excuse for every loss we have. I know that i for one, and i am sure there are plenty more who feel the same as i are sick and tired of excuses. We want consistent success!! Bellamy is the solution!!

The Storm were punished for their own success by having their 2 premierships taken away. Bellamy was not given established rep stars, he turned young players like Inglis, Folau, Smith, Cronk and Slater into rep stars. This is what i want him to do with our young players for which i don't believe Brian is capable of. They are NOT the only premiership winning side to have gone over the cap. They were only caught out because a disgruntled employee blew the whistle.

I truly believe that we can get Bellamy to come to us because of the challenge and the money. Money talks. Imo a fresh challenge could be very appealing. Who would have thought Bennett would have left the broncos? Who would have thought that Hasler would leave Manly. At the Roosters Bellamy will be given a much better balanced side with a plethora of exciting young talent to work with. I have no doubt he would be a tremendous success with us! Imo he is THE best man for the job.

I also want to add, since the Storm have been 100% legit last year, just look at what they are achieving.
