Good involvement, leadership and decision making from Pearce today. One of the best on the field.

Still fell short on execution a couple of times (a couple of hospital passes), but more than made up for it with other aspects of his game.

It looked like Smith gave him full reign today rather than telling him to play a certain part of the field.

          Top notch game.

I have always liked Pearce but at times I have criticised his ability, I have reversed my thoughts & now think Pearce will become the best 1/2 in the game. It wont be till he is aroung 26. He is slowly developing his game & eventually when he has around 3 to 4 years to go in his career he will dominate. The Roosters have to stick with him.

Imagine the confidence Pearce will gain IF NSW win the origin series this year.
            Great game today.

Pearce has come back from Mudgee with some confidence. He was playing much straighter.

He had a few better games in 2010 and I think he will have a lot of them in 2013.

Imagine what he'd do with a better hooker and a real five eighth.

But no, the next time we lose, it'll be all his dad's media mates and our excuses.

Pearce is a very good halfback who, like almost every other quality half in the history of the game, including Thurston, will dominate with a few classy players around him.

First time peace has taken a game by the scruff of the neck and really dominated it for us. Just a shame we lost in the end.

If he can play like today, or at least within 90% of today every week he may finally be on the way to becoming the player we've been paying him to be all these years

                          LOL.

If you saw anything that was 9 1/2 you'd faint I'm sure Ms Tee.

Pearce backed up Sunday's performance. Starting to show some maturity. Unlucky not to get the MOTM.

I guess that's the difference with BJ, Pearce is used to backing up from rep footy now, he's had a few cracks at it, BJs first time and he probably didn't handle it as well as he shouldve. That's what experience brings you.

Positive steps for Pearce, good on the bloke.

                          You know it makes sense.

At least we will be half way there next year. Now just to find a better hooker...

Mitch is probably like most of us and counting down the days until the fraud of a 5/8 leaves the building.....

I actually think Maloney could be the worst thing for Pearce. Both are great organsiers and both will demand a lot of ball, it's quite obvious that Pearce is good enough to play a traditional halfback role on both sides of the field imo. With Hayne playing a running role and leaving all the direction up to Pearce he dominated, again today we saw the same thing... Anasta only touched the ball 20 times compared to his usual 40-50 touches leaving Pearce to dominate.

Maloney would be wasted as a ball runner so it's inevitable that we'll go back to split halves despite the promising performance today.
