Well the games I watched did not show that at all. Most of the front on defence was up above the waist with players coming into wrap the legs after stopping the initial progress. Yes, there's the odd legs tackle here and there but it's usually on kick chase or if a defender has to make the tackle from the side.

Majority of our forwards are Cream Puffs

It doesn't help that we have 1000x back rowers that Robbo continues to play at prop....he is allergic to playing guys in their right spot

The forwards are ok without being great.

Backline defence has been very bad for the last couple of years. Whenever Souffs and Penriff shift it wide, they put 40, 50 and 60 on us in the last 2-3 years. We’ve lost Latrell, Aubusson and Morris brothers who were very good and dependable defenders. In Manu, Billy Smith, Suaallii, Paulo, Hutchison and even Teddy, we have willing but often brittle backline defence. And if you add two of the smallest halves in the comp, it’s no wonder we let in so many points out wide.

Our outside backs back then would put us on the front foot and our forwards would march down the field and Cronk with his pin point box kicking game would have the opposition starting sets inside their 10 metres.
Then with Jake, Rads, Aubo and Cords leading our line speed we would smash teams in defence.
These days teams are starting 20 metres metres out at least and we always seem to get penalised for inside the 10 early in every game and then compound it with 6 agains.
The pack we have now are a far cry from the premiership winning pack, they don't have the hard edge that team had.

Dont we miss the holy trinity of Cords-Friend-Aubbo? Their hard edge is irreplaceable.

So why do they call each other that?

                  In what context?

I imagine in the same way you'll see UFC fighters call each other pussies it's a bit of bravado, ego and alpha male dominance.

Deep down and when it's all said and done both know they are some of the hardest bastards on the planet for even having the balls to step in the Octagon.

So if I don't mean any disrespect then it shouldn't be a problem. It seemed like the appropriate word to describe how our forwards (JWH excluded) performed against an aggressive alpha pack last round. Would you've felt better if I said soft?

It's like calling someone shorty if they're short or Sticks if they're tall and skinny. It's far from offensive imo.

Calling someone shorty and calling someone a pussy are not alike.

That’s one long bow you are drawing there.

Look call them whatever you like, it just doesn’t sit right with me seeing someone sitting on the sidelines or in this case behind a keyboard calling players pussies, never has never will but each to their own.

I'm pretty sure I said to my mate Sticks "don't be a pussy"countless times over the years and no one was offended.

The worlds gone mad or soft.

                          Again, context matters. Your mate.

I think all of our forwards individually are good, and anyone who comments on them being soft or whatever has got no clue.
With that being said, that doesn't mean they're as good as the pack we had in '18 and '19. They're definitely not.

Agree BTW. I just don’t think we are working as a pack or team at the moment.

I’m still scratching my head on why we are playing so bad at the moment - I really hope that Robbo finds a solution soon.

If they combine together, and play as a TEAM, play for each other, support each other, make the extra effort to cover for each other, go in with a plan and follow their leader then as a UNIT they can be hard enough.
If they play as individuals it doesn't matter how HARD they are.
