Bah humbug, Christmas ads already started on TV, noticed the first one the other day, Wynstan with a Y
Many many years ago when i worked at Franklins we would start putting the Christmas products and decorations out in the last week of September and that date is just about on us now.
Having worked in retail for around 40 years i always said i was looking forward to first Christmas away from the work rat race, it happened last year, mainly because i was on sick leave so it didn't quite feel like it was happening then, i also spent the first 3 weeks out of December out of Sydney so felt different but this year it will feel like i am away from work all together and ( hopefully ) will enjoy this time of the year catching up with friends and having a really relaxed time without all the retail and commercial build up bullsh*t.
I do feel like putting up the Christmas Tree this year though, last year because not feeling well and then being away most of December i didn't feel like putting it up but will do it this year.
