And this is no lie, i have a bit of an inflamed gum and had an dentist appointment booked in for August but last night i had some extra pain from it and noticed where it is that the tooth is loose now so i rang up my dentist to try and get in earlier than August and just by chance they had an appointment today at 2.30 pm so i booked it.

It just reminded of the oldest dad joke around which was

Haha...its the VIP dentist appointment time H. Tooth related pain is the worst available in my experience. My sympathies.

Dentists do have a sense of humour though. Many years ago I had a wisdom tooth out and just as the dentist was about to start the extraction he says "Ah, the getting of wisdom".

The tooth doesn't really hurt much, its the ear ache from the infection which is the most painful at the moment

Clove oil from the chemist works a treat for temporary relief, doesn’t taste nice, but numbs the pain.

Thanks Milanja, i actually called into work before going to the dentist as i had about a 20 min wait till the bus and the manager said get some clove oil. Funny thing is the tooth and gum is hardly hurting, it is more of an ear ache at the moment which has gotten worse over the last 2 hours or so.
