Labor is back in front of the Independent by the teeniest of margins in my electorate and counting continues on. It’s so close the lead changes every day.

The Green primary vote held up, the problem was, in Brandt's case, preferences and the Libs preferencing Labor in his electorate. The wider problem was them (Greens) being seen in the eyes of the generally unsophisticated polity, as siding with the Tories against Labor in the parliament.
Greens are largely ex ALP voters who are dark on the conservatism of the modern ALP, especially on its tardiness re Climate Warming measures and the US "alliance". Their intention in joining the Greens is to attempt to force Labor more to the Left but their hearts are still with basic Labor principles and for them, even a tame cat ALP is way more preferred than the Right. The Greens played hard ball for far too long and their reasons for that, though commendable, were seen as unnecessary and contributing to the Libs/Sky "do nothings" tag.

Dutton's voice of division is gone. Labor's got a massice majority now. Alex Dalgeish farcically arranged that stupid cabinet meeting where he promised a killer policy announcement at the end... then said 'aaaw yeah, the other night I realise that this will all be over in a few months' in an attempt to rally the troops. Don't ask me how I know Dutton's ex chief of staff but his and Dutton's jobs are two efficiencies that I'm comfortable with
