don't know about plibersek but yeah, aus politics is mediocre. as always democracy is about voting for the least shithouse option
Agree zac. Pilbersek, no thank you. Frydenberg on the other hand would have been a much better option to Dutton.

    • Why the thumbs down on Plib MR and why the thumbs up on Frydenberg? One gets a whiff of msm there. no wonder you're down on the Greens.

No sweat, all of us are influenced. I do admit to teasing you at times but this is an interesting opinion of yours. Is it based on anything other than emotions (ie "He has a kind face" or ""she's a bitch")?

Sorry Paddo, I’m getting my pollies mixed up. Plibersek, I didn’t even spell her name correctly, is actually not so bad. As for Frydenberg, I said he would be better than Dutton. I just don’t trust Dutton and would never vote for him but for me personally, Frydenberg would be a better choice.

I don't normally respond Barren because you're obviously a young self appointed mischief maker, a Loki in Norse mythology - a pain in the arse in a modern context! But that's your mission here and it's okay, pig ignorance is accepted though we do prefer a modicum of respect to accompany it.

Asking Penners to elaborate on posts is also okay. Who knows, MR might respond with "I don't trust her" or "Mum and dad hated Whitlam" but she's a tad more thoughtful than that.

Please don't treat this as a rev up. I'm not interested in any response from you unless you dump the juvenile (some might say puerile) stuff. Grow up a little in other words. I'm sure that there's a likeable Barren on offer but the silly little fella is still screaming to be heard.

Plibersek has deep policy expertise and has strong communication skills- she is always sharp and on point. She would be a an excellent PM.

I think Frydenberg is up there with her and i hope he comes back to politics.

And your Frydenberg opinion is based on impressions not influenced by msm who fawned over him before he lost his seat? The same msm that can't abide Plibs.

Tories in Oz aren't committed to the sheeple. They're an organised anti Labor force dedicated to maintaining the lurks and Class privileges that have been put in place for the benefit their natural constituency and their donors - the professions, high pay corporates, rentiers and those who live off capital investment - about 15% top. Peddling fear through our "free press" gets them to 51%.

Should the Greens (the real Labor Party) ever win government, things like the diesel fuel rebate that costs $10 billion and overwhelmingly benefits miners, Trusts and other tax avoidances which privilege the wealthy and property tax breaks like Capital gain and neg gearing ( I could go on there are plenty of examples) would all be for the chop, our media would be uniformly outraged and Green "scandals" would fill pages and screens. If that was unfruitful, there would be a coup. The media once again mollifying the sheeple, most of whom would, as usual, not take to the streets as in, say, Venezuela, but would just go back to the telly more interested in the "relationships" on Farmer..

My Frydenberg opinion is based on the same criteria i use to rate all politicians. It's just my opinion- doesn't make it right or wrong.

Maybe if he was associated with the Greens you would have a more positive view of him?

So it's a kind of "gut" feeling based on not much but a Toorak address? And, correct, I don't like Tory philosophy, it is a class indicator foremost and I fail to see any benefit to the largest cohort in society in any Tory policy. All I see is tax rorts and privileges accruing to the wealthy. Tax cuts for example, always the lion's share to those who really don't need it. The dopey proles are, meanwhile, oblivious. Not understanding financial matters and seemingly much more interested in whether Young Taylor with the big tits "marries" the farmer.

maybe but the last thing labor needed was to bring down a first term labor pm. didn't work well last time which was a real pity because gillard could have been good is she'd bided her time. compare and gillard and siebold's pushiness to get the brisbane coaching job. in politics - and in footy - there can be a time to go all in and a time to bide your time.

no doubt fydenberg would be more palatable than dutton but i always thought he was a bit smug

She's generic. and my mistake, it should be "Tayla" I could substitute Prairie, Beyonce, Maddison, Indianna, Halcyon or any girl who has a brother named Maverick as well as big tits. Might as well be a blow up - same intelligence rating.

He couldn't have been too great. Morrison secretly appropriated his portfolio. Nah, yez are all on the msm Cool Aid as I see it. Frightened mostly and subconsciously deeply averse to change. But seriously Caz why do the Libs appeal to you? Are you a small business guy? Tradie perhaps?

paddo, mate, you need to read other people's posts, wait, re-read them, and then comment. your comprehension isn't what it used to be
