The last time we played Manly in an NRL game, some say we were refereed out of the game by *7578* truckloads of penalties and 6 agains in favour of Manly which saw them score too many points at the start of the match for us to overcome.
If that happens again, the result of the game will likely be the same no matter what team we field.

The little lady who sits in the recliner is of the belief that Manu was being shielded...eased back into playing because of his bad injury.

I think we will improve but not enough to win.

Again, Butcher didn't get to play in his positon because there was an injury and a reshuffle which meant he had to fill in at 2nd row.

Went out there and in 45mins made 35 tackles.

These are the type of players and toilers that every successful club needs, the narrative will change on Butcher and people will soon realise his worth. I think it's harder to realise his worth in a losing side because the assumption is always that we must look for more in attack.
I think some supporters (of all clubs) just don't rate the importance of defence to a team, as they do the attack. Just like with a rock band, people mainly notice the lead singer and lead guitarist, but forget it's the rhythm section (bass and drums) which hold everything together.

Agreed. Manly paying $2 h2h is overs imo

Manu played at least 90 -95 of the game on the wing. He was dropping back on 6th tackle to take a hitup on tackle 1 or 2 which is the job of a winger in a Trent Robinson coached side.
              100% correct.

                Sydney Roosters $1.77
                Manly Sea Eagles $2.05

Bit surprising. I guess bookies thinking we might be shamed into sharp improvement facing 2 losses in a week on our home turf.

In Robbo’s presser, he mentioned that Suaalli should be ready to play Reggie’s next week. I look forward to seeing him make a strong return & challenge for a spot in 1sts very soon.

Manly were very lacklustre last week but they’ve got the settled combination in their team, whereas we’re still sorting ourself out.

                      Not confident at all.

I think this isn’t too bad a side considering we weren’t thrashed by 50 last week. We held on despite a great performance by the knights. But two areas of great concern are our go forward. We have none. Our forwards can get rolled by just about any team. So tactics now I noticed is to keep us down our end and with no strong forwards it’s working. Then no spark in attack. With the Brest bros gone who’s going to score our tries?

My head says manly tommorrow but I tipped with my heart.

I think we can turn it around but am expecting a slow start this season.

In the regards to the 18th & 19th man what are the circumstances that they can play?
I noticed in rd 1 that Naiqama was still fully kitted up at halftime.
