Lomax will get a slap on the wrist and stay put. The Drags won't let go of him and as for TPJ well both the Drags and Tigs are looking at him. Drags probably have enough momey to throw at him now since Paul Vaughan is no longer on the books and unless TPJ wants to go play for a team that will consistently play shit football (Tigs) then Dragqueens it is. TPJ won't come to the Roosters because Robbo already said that he's not our style of player and I doubt he'd want to take a pay cut to play. As for the Cheese, I love him as a player, he wears his heart on his sleeve and the thought of him and Radley running around in the same team wearing the RWB would make me very happy but I think he would be asking for too much money... like north of $600,000+ per season, which I think is too much with all the other players on the roster we have to manage moving forward.


Any cheap back up props on the market should be worth a look, I think someone like Morgan Boyle from Manly (if we can get him under $400,000). He's still young and looks to be pretty solid and his off-contract at the end of the year. I know he had a shoulder issue at the start of the year but hey, who doesn't get a few injuries here and there ? Dale Finucane and Joseph Tapine are worthwhile options but we shouldn't blow the bank $$$ to sign them, I think we've got enough young talent that we should invest in but a cheap back up option if available is not a bad idea.


Outside backs... I think we're ok.... Billy Smith and Joseph Suaalii will probably start next year with Suaalii to play right wing with manu in the centre. Smith to go to left centre (Josh Morris to perhaps retire at the end of this season). Matt Ikuvalu is still an ok gap-fill option and we've got a few young guns coming thru from ther Fijian side (Kaiviti Silktails) such as Vuate Karawalevu so probably no need to go to the market yet and to be honest, I don't think there's many decent outside backs on offer.

Good post but mate I am worth more than Morgan Boyle. Ain't no way he gets near 400k, not worth anything over 250k with his footballing ability combined with his injury history

give his nsw cup highlights a quick watch. he was a first rader when todd payten came into warriors hc job. he's versatile, can play 3,4,6,7,9 and 13. and his kicking is top notch. biggest knock against him is his defence, which can arguably be fixed.

obviously nsw cup isnt first grade but it is still very highly competitive. if u pay attention to his playstyle, if he could convert that to fg he would be a very solid first grader. as for iu, he cops way too much hate. he would easily slot into most of the bottom 8 first grade sides, hes just a bit of a liability under the high ball

I say we still need the cheese. There is no other player with his ability within the NRL. Melbourne have Harry the cheese wants a hooker starting spot simple!! We can offer this I Know we have Sammy but the game has changed & smith is what it’s all about now. He would make us great again. Uncle Nick wants success & the cheese will deliver this. He would be worth every cent. We have money don’t tell me we don’t. Don’t forget Jason Ryles is here next year he will know what the cheese brings. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is already putting things in place to have him here. I have followed league & the roosters for over 40 years & I just know what he would do for our club. A different player to Cronk but he would give us a chance at more premierships as did the Cronk move. We do also need a full time goal kicker & another impact forward from somewhere. We have youth but not a lot of experience with all the retirees this year.

Why do I keep reading that peoiple rate Keighran so highly? The guy is an average footballer who can kick goals. If he was any better than average neither the Panthers or Warriors would have let him go in the first place

Perhaps he offers a little more versatility and goal kicking than Lam as the 14.

He's contracted to the Storm till the end of 2022 who are saying that he is staying till then but who knows because contracts arent worth much, B Smith signing with the Chooks would put them back in the title contenders category if all players are fit . He would have a Cooper Cronk impact I reckon
A TPJ or Tapine as well would have Premiership written all of it.

If ever we are going to be a top side again we need smith. The game today demands a player like him. Look at last weekend the dummy half service was not good Sammy is only young and can learn off the cheese or maybe suited to a good bench sub to have & the cheese could then play another position. This is the player we need big time. Also keep an eye on the Lomax situation at the drag queens this could play into our hands a top centre who can kick goals.

I think there is a lot more to being a top side again than signing Brandon Smith.
