Problem with that solution is that Symonds and FPN to my knowledge are not off contract so can't just be got rid off without paying any difference between what they are on with us and what they may get with a new club. And that difference may be substantial given that the Roosters tend to pay overs for most players. So it may mean that even after offloading those players we can't still afford to keep some others.

I understand where your coming from. That's why we may have to offload Symonds or FPN or both of them early in the season to try and do the best deal possible for us, i understand it would hurt us in the cap for this year but try and work it that it won't hurt us for next year.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

      Here's looking at you, kid.

FPN deserves his chance, he had a great 2010 and wasn't as bad as everyone wants to make out in 2011.For the first time in his career he's going to be given a permanent spot and role at lock, consistency in a position might see consistency in his performances.

Symonds is similar, never been given much of a chance to prove his full worth. He's been used as a bit player and in various roles.

There's enough room in the cap to re-sign JWH, the only thing that will compromise that is a high profile signing like SBW.

It's a shame that Synonds a local junior is being mentioned as a player to move on to make way for SBW.

The Roosters should off load FPN Guerra Anasta Cherringtom Mini J Carney Arona & Willie Mataka. They should retain Cordner JWH Tasi Mose Maubs Takairangi Symonds Kennedy.

I still think that if the Roosters do get SBW which as I have said before I believe they have, they will also lose at least 2 of the players I have mentioned that they need to retain.

You're disappointed a local junior is being mentioned as a player to move on but you're advocating letting Anthony Cherrington go?

There's no need to release all those players, a lot are depth players and Guerra was one of our best last year.

Too right! Aidan played very well for a team that was severely lacking and consistently one of the players who was receiving heaps of praise on here, along with Friendy for a long time last year. It needs remembering that he also made the Kangaroo's squad last year. I understand it didn't amount to anything but it would only further motivate him for this year.

I am quite happy to let go of Anasta, Symonds and or FPN if it means getting SBW. I would not like to compromise the signing of SBW. FPN can be devastating like in that last 8 minutes of the game against the sharks last year, but jeez he can be frustrating at times, just not consistent enough! FPN REALLY pissed me off in the game against $ouff$ later in the year last year when it looked like we were going to beat them with having the momentum and then FPN does one of his stupid errors and changes all the momentum from which $ouff$ scored straight after and won the game. He really can be soft and lazy at times when he loses his concentration, for which i don't think he is blessed with much of, he is about the bluntest tool in the shed.

If Brian Smith can get FPN to become consistent then i am happy enough to keep him, but for me Anasta and Symonds (Symonds can go asap) need to go to free up cap space for retaining JWH, Cordner and Tasi, and signing SBW.

I see your point with Cherrington but I mentioned him because he has played the least amount of football & I honestly think their are to many guys ahead of him so he may get a better opportunity at another club. But if the Roosters want him Im all for that too. If they can keep them all Im all for that but I know they cant especially if they sign SBW.

Jared should be in the 11....he belongs in the 11, he wants to play in the 11 and until he is moved there he will never reach his full potential.....his background demands he be moved or all the guys that have been mentioned before especially Lama will pass him in leaps and bounds....

We have a brilliant ball playing forward who is being treated as a battering ram......

I have to disagree with you Phatom, i really think JWH is a enforcer style prop. I don't think he has the foot work to be an 11!!

we have to agree to disagree because he would excell there......

He doesnt particularly like the roll he has as enforcer, he isnt a basher like Morely was, everyone just expects him to be because of his size.....

                          Agreed.

Every time I watch him play I see a fantastic backrower.

                          He is not a prop.

Spot on Phantom, Jared is a player who has a big motor and a high work ethic. Possibly with our front row options he may move to the back row, @ manly he was leener and had a massive engine[ last man in defense and go go in attack]..

I dont know if he is given strict instructions just to be a battering ram but if he has an offload in him Im sure he could do that too from the FR.

Phantom I know you are a fan of JWH playing in the backrow but he has had no experience in that position playing league & we have the most backrowers in the comp.

I think he should get fair dinkum about FR, put is head down & lead the team aggressively from the front. Your right he does have size & he should use that to intimidate opposition forwards every week. I like him but I would like to see heaps more aggression from him.
