* Our roster is aging - weird seeing we have only 3 players over the age of 25.
* We will suffer due to the loss of Todd Carney and Nate Myles, who were our biggest stars - probably were when it came to drinking games.
* We will finish 16th.

So that is what we can expect after a year where:

* We finished 14th after 26 rounds - the official ladder must be wrong then.
* Mitchell Pearce was recalled to the NSW side last year for the first time since 2008 - so then why did I see him on the field during Game 2 and 3 in 2010?

Add that for the screw job in the Wests Tigers game and one or two other problems exacerbated by Carney's wuckfittery and Myles selfishness...along with Braith Anasta's continued masquerading as a talented footballer we would have finished in the top eight.

Most analysts aren't going to rate our side this year because of the 2011 let down but this team isn't coming 16th that's for sure.

never jynx anything. our late run of 4 wins towards the end of 2011 was great and seems to have given a lot of us hope, but take away that and we were absolutely horrible for the whole year.

who knows where we'll end up in 2012

I don't think it is that ridiculous to predict us to come last. This coming season is going to be painful. We have nobody capable of setting up an attacking play. I expect quite a few games where we score nothing.

Anasta will put in a good captains knock this year after discovering he is a useless golfer

Our pack will scare the hell out of most teams

Our new centre/wing options will surprise & convert opportunities if they receive silver service from the halves

Pearce & Anasta still works for me if the team plays well, Mortimer will finally come out of his shell & Smith will give him a shot

The return of Kennedy, Maubs & the likes of Cordner, Symonds, Guerra & Tasi stepping up will provide solid backbone

The impending arrival of Maloney & SBW will ensure players step up & make a name to secure a future

Smith will need a top 8 mid season result to stop Politis talking to Bellamy

Fitzy in the coaching team will prove to be a revelation & Elliot will stop Smith's Dr. Frankenstein tendencies

Half the comp have new coaches

My prediction: top 6 as in 2010 & Smith keeps his job

What is the fascination with Bellamy? He's not coming here and never will, he's a News lackey so if he leaves Storm he would be more likely to end up at the Cowboys or even the Broncos....somewhere where they can spend bucketloads more cash on not only the playing roster, but all the you beaut training equipment and back office staff to make him look a lot better then what he actually is.
