Yes, brilliant team. Just like we had in 2009 and in 2010 before Carney switched to 5/8th.

People have very quickly forgotten that tactically it was Carney who created extra space for people like FPN and SKD to make them look like superstars.

Well we seem to be doing pretty well without him now so what's the difference between now and next year?... MORE PLAYERS TO CHOOSE FROM!!! Plus your a roosters fan, you should be thinking positive

Anything we achieve will be off the back of our young and promising forward pack.
He's not the worst five-eighth in the game. Learn your footy mate.

Doing pretty well? Fluking wins in the dying minutes against two teams who are both on a six match losing streak?

My apologies. He is not the worst but very close to. If you still disagree then tell where he ranks amongst these:

            Gareth Widdop
            Kieran Foran
            Darren Lockyer
            James Maloney
            Ray Thomson
            Benji Marshall
            Jamie Soward
            Jarred Mullen
            John Sutton
            Ben Roberts
            Travis Burns
            Braith Anasta
            Albert Kelly
            Terry Campese
            Greg Bird
            Jarred Hayne

Well, he's definately better than Thompson, Burns, Bird (playing 5/8), Sutton, Albert Kelly, and many others. Just cos he's not as skilled as some other five-eighths doesn't mean he's not a good player. He bleeds RW&B and he's one of the best captains in the game. He plays with passion and inspires the team.

                Geez Dice,
Anasta (plus HAyne, Bird and Campese) is better than Sutton, Burns and Roberts.
Sutton is without doubt one of the worst 5/8s ever to play the game.

jj, and many others? Go on? I would say Ben Roberts and NO others. I would also question whether he is any better than Travis Burns or Greg Bird.

Anasta is better than half a dozen 5/8ths tops, and it is no coincidence that none of them are in the top 8 other than the one who is playing along side the best halfback in the world.

KB, I didn't rank them. They were sorted by NRL ladder position.

This year every team has been good you know... making the 8 MIGHT require 30 points.
Just so disappointing what Carney and Nate have done to us. Nate more than anything coz he has less problems and should know better.

Anasta will kick the ball out on the full to kick off round 1. Hopefully the season gets better from there. I am hopeful of top 6 even with Anasta at 5/8. Finally some speed in the side as well as some mongrel

My 2012 prediction is that the Mayan's will be found out to be full of crap.

They can't be wrong, all they predicted was the end of their calendar on 21-12-2012...which will end on 21-12-2012.

As far as the Roosters go, I am passionately indifferent about next year. Depending on what I see next year I'll get excited for 2013.

                              Chook.

filthy that was as expected no fluke win by us over melbourne in the last round, you do get a better feel for the team at the game than via a wewbcast in belgium!
