  • 2012 predictions?

With the 2011 season gone I thought it would be good to look to next year. Things like where we finnish, who will win the spots in the backline up for grabs, how we can possibly fit so many talented young forwards into one team.

Personally I think we'll end up in the bottom half of the top eight.

I personally can't see any major improvements.. We will do better than this year though. My prediction is 8th or lower. I also got the feeling that we will be contesting with 2 or 3 other teams to take 8th spot and make the finals towards the back end of the season. However if our forwards run hard and our playmakers can keep their mind on the game and not side-tracked from off-field discretions and we hold onto the ball and fix our discipline up then i see no reason why we can't make top 4.

I'm a glutton for punishment and have to go into a new season with only one hope - we will win the premiership.

I predict half the members numbers we had this year.

7th - 11th thereabouts. We will feature in the upper half of the competition but generally won't be able to compete with Melbourne, Manly etc.

Mitchell Pearce will throw himself at the mercy of PWN and spend all offseason riding trains and staying off the grog
Past Glory cuts twitter swearing by 20%

            St George finish 12th
            $ouff$ fail again.

I am personally not excited about fluking two wins against the two worst teams in the comp. We have the slowest outside backs and the worst 5/8th in the comp (Anasta) and it is difficult to see next year being much different to this year. Anything we achieve will be off the back of our young and promising forward pack.

if as expected we beat melbourne next week, we will very much rue the pointys we lost in the souths game as well as the fwd pass ruling against balmain, the extra 4 points would have put us into the 8 this year!thanks very much newscorp refs you did your job, kept the roosters out of the finals!

We're signing Tagive and Moga comes of age which makes a pretty fast back line. SKD and Perrett are great in the air as well which is why we should send some more cross field bombs to them. Add in injured players coming back and we have a really good team.

As expected? I don't think many people will be expecting that. Lucky last gasp victories over the sharks and parra aren't exactly a great formline for beating Melbourne unfortunately.

We kept ourselves out of the finals.

This year every team has been good and teams that are coming last are still worthy opponents. For example Parra was beating Storm 18-0 until the end and almost beat Manly too. Even though the dragons aren't in form at the moment, Parra were able to tie with them when the dragons were in form. Beating Para is not an easy feat!
