  • Soft Tries

How annoying are the soft tries we have let in the last couple of weeks.

That one on half time yesterday was a disgrace.

We had kept them out the whole half and they had tons of attempts on our line.

Then Isaac falls asleep at marker and Collins started heading up the tunnel on the last play.

Then their garbage two tries on the second half were nothing but missed tackles.

It really hurts our for and against and there is a real chance it could decide top two or even minor premiership for us.

No wonder Robbo was not so happy in the press conference.

    In other news.....

    Are we Good?
    Are we Good?
    Are we ever Bloody Good!

having critical teaching moments in blow out wins isn't the worst thing.

        You are probably right.

I have been saying for weeks I would prefer to be us than any other side.

I feel like this year as opposed to last year we are finishing teams off and playing the whole 80 minutes..

Defensive lapses and fatigue will always be a factor, the important thing will be the lessons learned to correct for the following week!

We are sitting pretty in 3rd spot, this is ours to lose!

Along with the Keary injury it put a bit of a dampener on yesterday. Fricken Collins needs to wake up.

I think their first try was ridiculously soft. The other two were soft, but the Dragons boys did well.

But yeah, sure, they leave a bad taste in the mouth and it's something we'd like to get on top of. Still, the thing I've taken out of the last couple of weeks is that our attack is humming.

Yes not great letting in dumb tries because the tries teams like the storm won’t be dumb. Sack the defense coach... oh that’s another thread lol!

With our attack working so well now(i.e. we will score enough points to win most games) the soft tries will just keep us grounded and still hungry to improve.

This is my coaching tip....Collins has inexperience and his body is not up to the Wall defence tempo we have .I would suggest possibly FPN may come in handy by the time we hit the semis ...he may be be average but he can tackle and hurt still.

                      What's with the Pearce/Hunt comments? I didn't watch the CH9 call?
                      2 things:
I'm sick of hearing excuses for Saints coz of their Origin run. We had just as many in.

And gosh I love our Heritage Jersey. Sensational.

I agree. It keeps them on their toes rather than thinking they've already won the comp.

                          Agreed on the jersey.

As soon as I knew we were going to wear it I knew we were going to win.

It has a '2002 winning White' feel about it. I say we wear it every week from here on in.

Collins was to blame for both of them - the try and keary injury!

Saints bombed another one right on full time, we have to fix this before the finals.
