Yes he did, he played very well.
Hence we give him and lammy a go.
    Get a hooker!

Lammy looks to have all the smarts but looks slow ...observing last years world cup=Hooker

The fact that there were so many senior players out injured that year, mainly Pearce really made that situation a whole lot worse than what it should have been.

When Pearce was back and it was clear Pearce and Hastings weren't working we pivoted to Connor Watson and they came played pretty well together at the back end of 2016.

If we promote youth it's about having a plan a b c and even d.

The key to bringing through some youth will be Luke Keary. He will need to take on some more responsibility in regards to kicking and organising.

Halfback is such a hard position to come in to.

I get the feeling this question could change by the end of this season.

ideally we'd sign an established class half and nurture someone through like the storm have done with munster, im aware its not always possible , but would be good if we could . when you are consistently winning games you get more opportunity to nurture kids into grade, when you are not winning its sink or swim

If they both come through and add Keary, we may not need a hooker.

Radley to 7? It’s in him, why not?

I’m sick of signing established players. Promote where possible.

Bellamy has shown you put your money into a quality spine and build around that. He even got rid of inglis who along with meninga is the best outside back I've seen to keep the spine together.
Did you watch the first two origins?
i know he’s young but Cleary was a passenger.
Terrible kicking game, ok defence apart from a nice covering tackle. Yes mistake free but very ordinary start to the great white hope that is Nathan Cleary.
Guys like Munster burst onto the origin scene. Look at Ponga and Mitchell. Cleary IMO is a reincarnation of Pearce. Everyone telling him how good he is and what he is going to do in his career. Let the kid find his feet, he’s not going to be the great half everyone thinks he is

I totally agree with you,Cleary is way over hyped..
As you mentioned look at the impact Ponga and Munster had on Origin debut,Cleary hides behind Maloney and goes MIA..
I wouldn’t be wasting massive cap space on him, better to look elsewhere or within the Club!

Hes going to be a good player but to throw the keys to the club at him is insane
Ash Taylor has shown more playing with inferior players
if we are going to chase a 7 then he’s the safer bet

No doubting he will be a good player but as you said Taylor is a better option, based on what both have shown..
Interesting to see which direction the Club heads once Cronk hangs up the boots..

NOT A CHANCE! I'd rather nick kouparitsas play in the halves than him.

I will disagree with most and say that Cleary played well in Origin. In my opinion he was probably playing exactly to the coaches instructions and didn't deviate from the plans. He had gun backs outside of him and did as well as he could just to deliver them the ball. Also let the veteran steer the ship in Maloney which was definitely instructed, he didn't feel the need to try and come up with the star play. Was very calm and defended srongly. I'm not saying he is a must or isn't a touch over hyped, but I think he is pure quality who is coming along very nicely. I'd like too see him in our colours without paying stupid money
