I can't buy this we still would have lost stuff though. We dont know match outcomes if there's different decisions along the way, to change the dynamics.
No other sport do you know officials names and identities like this, or even look at who's officiating beforehand. They're at the centre of this game, it's pretty effed up.
The apology is an insult to us fans, we know its not gonna be the last time lol.

They didn’t get it wrong. They had a stash on scum to win and were protecting their investment knowing afterwards the bad decision would be reversed but the score would stand. Nothin but pure CORRUPTION. If we can see it clearly you bet they can too.Originally posted by Maxy Walker View PostNot why we lost but that was about the worst call I’ve ever seen. How the fark do they get that wrong.
He dropped it. They replayed it over and over again on the big screen. Obvious knock on. All the players get in position for a 20 restart. Video ref calls......try.
Video ref should be sacked for life. It’s supposed to be a professional sport.

Take away the non try and award the penalty try and 10 minutes at a 12 man scum side and we could easily have won 20-18. The refs got them home. We played bad but the refs got them home.Originally posted by Thirteen View PostThe far superior team won on the day and deserved to win so who cares.

Exactly.Originally posted by roosterchook View PostThe object was achieved which was to take momentum away from the roosters so we couldn’t stage a comeback. A blind bat could see it wasn’t a try, How then a video ref with closeup zoomed replays couldn’t see it was pure corruption and Match fixing. The bunker likely had a stash bet on the scum.
The bunker also over ruled the refs in saying that Fergo knocked the ball on in the saints in goal, when clearly it went back. The on field refs only asked if Aubo was held back from scoring a try.
Also the only penalty for off side was against us when saints knocked on. We were on a big roll. Again it took the momentum off us.

You don’t get a penalty try and a man in the bin.Originally posted by roosterchook View Post

10 in the bin could have changed the whole match though.

Aubo got penalised for not getting to his feet to play the ball. dragqueen player does the same thing later in the game and gets away with it. As someone else said, the merge scum are very very lucky with the referees when they play the Roosters.
Having said all that, the Roosters were not the better side yesterday. What is it with the merge scum's halfback in always making the Roosters look hopeless, irrespective of the colours he's wearing?"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

I have a bug bear how in some games (not yesterday's) a referee will nitpick one team and ping them for penaltys on the 3/4 tackle when a team is coming out of their own end. Then just before halftime or at the end of the match they will award the other side a string of penaltys on the line ten metres out on the 1st or 2nd tackle. It evens the count but the opportunities afforded and impact on the result are vastly different.

The non sin-binning of McInnes deserves greater scrutiny in my opinion. Why did the video ref decide to intervene last week and have Mitchell binned, yet stayed quiet yesterday when a much more cynical foul took place? As people have said, it's the lack of consistency that annoys fanes. What counts as a penalty one week is considered fair and above board the next, the rules change from a week to week basis

Dont know if anyone mentioned it in another thread but did anyone pick up Ferguson being tackled in the air? Andrew Voss made a comment that Ferguson was complaining that he released the ball before he hit the ground but he was complaining about the Saints defender making no attempt to go for the ball and instead having hands and eyes only on him. Last week he got tackled in the air also but it wasnt picked up.
I thought it was very obvious....am i wrong?

There was never any consideration of an 8 point try. They looked to see if Aubbo was denied an attempt to score, which may have resulted in a penalty try being awarded. An 8 point try only happens when a player is fouled after scoring a conventional try. Realistically, Aubbo was unlikely to have scored, so a penalty try was not going to happen. You must have the balance of probability in your favour to be awarded a penalty try (in theory - in practice that seems to have been relaxed somewhat lately). Both Aubbo & Widdop grappled with each other, and the ball was already going dead. if they awarded a penalty try for that, it would have been a worse decision than the McDonald try.Originally posted by Nathan Aboud View PostGavin Badger told the bunker only to review the Widdop & Aubusson contact before the drop out occurs for a possible 8 point try. However, the bunker reviewed the kick in play, on side and yet the contest only to come up with in my mine and a lot of peoples opinions the wrong decision on how they though Ferguson knocked on when he clearly tipped it backwards, not hitting the ground in which Widdop takes control of the ball and throws it out only to reach and hold Mitch back from scoring a try. So therefore the request from Badger was ignored and he called knock back in the field of play and also had everything else covered so why was it a 20 meter restart, not either a goal line drop out or possible 8 point try?
If the shoe was on the other foot, and a the video ref didn't review an earlier element of a try awarded against us when there was an obvious issue, you'd be screaming blue murder that we were robbed. IMO it's perfectly valid for the video ref to review the entire play, regardless of what particular element the on field ref asked for the review on.

You are allowed to tackle an attacking player in the air. You can't tackle a defending player in the air, because that's not safe. Work that out.Originally posted by Random Rooster View PostDont know if anyone mentioned it in another thread but did anyone pick up Ferguson being tackled in the air? Yeah. I've said it before. Sides use that 3 (if its cecchin) or 5 (if its Perenara ) or unlimited (for all other refs) penalty warning now to reset the line and it comes off more than it doesn't. Especially before halftime. nobody gets binned, opposition fails to score in amongst all the the stop start tackle count resets.Originally posted by Johnny Brass View Post

Except us, we let Hunt stroll over untouched.
