Might as well have Stevie Wonder in the bunker!
Quite embarrassing with all the technology and numerous camera angles available.

        Refs boss, Bernie:

”We’ve reviewed the review. We have a decision”
        We were wrong

        ..it’ll be interesting to see

Yeah sorry we got it wrong.
Wtf is anyone supposed to do with that ? We all knew the halfwit wanted to give it after the 3rd replay and freeze framing the finger blurred into the ball.

I watched a bit of storm match .. Warriors got 2 penalties for not being able to play the ball when they wanted to, yet we got punished for the same. The inconsistency is doing my head in.

Not really instead of winning by 16 the Dragons would have won by 10 - Chooks never looked like scoring another try unless it was a kick for Latrell. - Latrell has won one and lost one- last two games - Latrell 6 defeated Bulldogs 0 / St George-Illawarra 24 defeated Latrell 8

I actually hate the way the referees come out publicly admitting their mistakes. Who cares!? You’ve made the error that can’t be reversed so what does coming out and admitting the mistake that everyone knows was wrong achieve? It was Jarred Maxwell as well which is no surprise to anyone.

And lets call it what it was, that's not human error it was incompetence.
Let's call it what it really was. Cheating.

He dropped it. They replayed it over and over again on the big screen. Obvious knock on. All the players get in position for a 20 restart. Video ref calls......try.

Video ref should be sacked for life. It’s supposed to be a professional sport.
I'm with you on the life sacking of the video ref. That one was unforgivable. Saints seem to be a very lucky side when they play the Roosters....remember 2010....and Anzac Day 2016....

They're hoping that by admitting it, the TV footy shows will stop replaying and criticising it. I hope they play it all next week. One of the worst decisions I have seen and made video refereeing a total farce.

                        My confusion with the bunker is simply this;

                        1. The referee refers it up stairs with a decision and ask for them to review one key element to confirm their decision. How come if the referee asked just to check grounding for example the bunker feels it needs to check the play the ball, the lead up play, the sideline before the grounding? Don't you have confidence with the on field officials call from the previous plays? Watch closely in any game when they go through to a referral and they ask for one specific thing, the bunker checks several and wastes so much time doing so; and

                        2. Yesterday, Gavin Badger told the bunker only to review the Widdop & Aubusson contact before the drop out occurs for a possible 8 point try. However, the bunker reviewed the kick in play, on side and yet the contest only to come up with in my mine and a lot of peoples opinions the wrong decision on how they though Ferguson knocked on when he clearly tipped it backwards, not hitting the ground in which Widdop takes control of the ball and throws it out only to reach and hold Mitch back from scoring a try. So therefore the request from Badger was ignored and he called knock back in the field of play and also had everything else covered so why was it a 20 meter restart, not either a goal line drop out or possible 8 point try?

But wasn't the Bunker call "not enough evidence to overturn the live call of try" ?

Every reply from head on, side on, behind ...all showed he lost control of the ball .
What more evidence did he want .... a signed affidavit from Nene saying he had lost it !

Yes as a broader comment about the bunker is that they seem to be a law unto themselves in that they randomly choose whether the view the whole thing or just what they were told to view (or whether they choose to come in and sin-bin a guy when NOBODY asked them to intervene).

I dunno the answer. My only response is that Fox won the Super League war... that is why we have this stuff. They currently give the comp $2.5 million per player and yet the average salary is what... $400k or something? I think we coulda paid the players the same, had no Fox BS like the bunker and had EVERY game on FTA (1080p digital, multiple angles) without Fox getting involved. We STILL have the choice TBH.

One of the bad things from the mistake is that Cooper Cronk didn't get the credit for what was a brilliant try-saving tackle. He clearly goes for NM's arm and achieved the desired result.

If they'd got the decision right the Dragons would still have been favourites to go on and win the game, but we were a realistic chance to turn it around. Scoring two tries in the final ten minutes is hardly unprecedented.

It was such a bad decision by the video ref that I can understand why people think it was corrupt, but I doubt it. Sometimes people under pressure just get it wrong.
