Why is it that every single team consistently offloads against us and our forwards very rarely offload? It’s so frustrating.

Every set we defend we tend to have to make extra tackles cause we aren’t able to shut down the ball. Opposition teams offload with ease and at will against is. Even when surrounded by 3 in the tackle.

We get zero second phase play. Making Teddy look bad. Jarred got a rare offoad today and Teddy almost got through the line . It’s so important to get this second phase play.

We are surely the team with the highest offloads for and the most against. And we have the lowest completion rates. Going to be a long year.

I’m convinced it’s the Coach’s and their instructions to the forwards to play in structures and be conservative..
    Just my thoughts..

Surely it’s not the case. Robbo can see how much teams progress through offloading. Surely he can’t be telling them not to do it. I refuse to believe this. Especially when a guy like Teddy is following them.

Certainly is boring. No second phase play with a bloke
like Teddy in the team is criminal.

I'm sure you'll have a willing supporter in the man himself. Also limiting the options of our halves.

other teams have been taught how to stop offloads and it looks like we dont even address it

Its not about telling them not to offload but more about playing it safe to prevent errors..

I agree 100 % that there is some truth in this
Our offload stats have been poor for a few seasons.
How we supposedly came up with 8 today I find odd, cause it felt a hell of a lot less.
Case in point Fergo had a clear opportunity to offload after a kick return about 3/4 of the way through the game. Stands for an eternity with support. Doesn't pass A SMALL example.

I think I know the moment, he was looking for someone but no-one gave a toss.

Yeh I remember the time and it kind of backs up those thoughts..
Isaac Liu always had a lethal left handed passing game coming up in the grades, now its non existent..
JWH was an offload machine in 2013 whereas now you can tell he is concerned to make an error.
Napa has never been known for his passing.
SST is another one who seems to have toned it down.
It has to be instructed imo

That can be the only answer, lock the ball up, don’t risk the offload.
Anyway, there is rarely anyone pushing up looking to receive an offload.. Friend .. Teddy

                        ..it’ll be interesting to see

He didn't want to pass either ,strange moment as there was plenty of ground to be made if he did .
im not going to criticise Fergo cause he is one the few who busts his guts week in week out !

Busts his guts.....really?? What, for running the ball up on the 1st or 2nd tackle like every other winger or fullback is expected to do???

Liver, i'm over him and cannot cop how many fans continually accept his fundamental errors. Like the 1st try he gifted them today which didn't help our mindset. I expect our wingers to catch those type of kicks and i expect them to fark up less. Uncle Nick was too kind to re-sign him for 2018 and TRobbo too loyal. Players in our team know there's no consequence for ongoing poor performances so there's no concern about getting dropped the next week. I just hope the head coach had the balls & blasted them in the sheds because it's warranted!!!

Last week was evenly matched. Against the inept clueless bulldogs, and even they practice offloading.
