I would have thought in regards to recruitment Brian Smith would have been advised by the so called 'recruitment guru' Peter O'Sullivan. So if you're not happy with the players being signed, perhaps take a swipe at O'Sullivan as well. No reason why he should be above reproach.
I've no problem with supporters critising Brian Smith or anyone else, it just gets a little tiresome when it's apparent that's their only reason for joining the site at all.

rl week did there pole based on the nrl... if there was one based on this site most overrated player has to go to linnett... everyone talks about this amazing promise, to be honest whenever he touches the ball all he does is flirt with the sideline and not leave a large amount of room for his outside man... and for a player who apparently has blinding pace he doesn't get away from a lot of defenders...
now i actually think he could be a decent and solid first grader... not completely hating him... but looking at what our team needs a winger like tagive was required... no point in getting into a bidding war for linnett when he may only keep the spot for 1 more year (I don't think anyone on here can deny moga has more potential with linnett)... and with bj's future probably lying in the backrow let him get a little closer and play a season in the centres...
this decision was the one that was best for the team... not for people who didn't want to lose their favourite player

He may have wanted to go.Originally posted by John Corey View PostI will criticise him as well. There is no way Linnett should have been let go. The guy is a great talent. Smith has farked up every club he has ever been at. I am just surprised he has done it so quick. Usually it takes him 3 or 4 years.

Injury prone and not really anything special to begin with. He'll score tries that any stock standard first grader will score and that's about it woop de doo. I'd keep Graham for a year for 1/2 of the price and get the same job with a bit of creativity and versatility and have some cash/cap space left over for a real prospect in the future.
