I agree with you, think he might have a strong season. Looked ripped in the 9s.

Will we get Kane or Jane this year ? Personally I think we will get what we have got over the last couple of years... Jane is my call. He had so much promise coming through the ranks at the Jets with Napalm and always thought he would be the more successful of the two but he just didn't kick on.

Evans has signed with the Eels - 2 or 3 year contract- maybe be released as well

Good riddance. He's been shown up by big names like Tetevano.

This is why we can't have complete faith/time in all our development to save us. Whose to say knight and co. won't end up like Jane? Someone might as they watch them more closely than I do.

              As stated, we need mongrel.

I disagree about us needing mongrel - we need speed and mentally tough players and a coach who has balls and not a sweet talker

Nope. We need mongrel. Too often we don't wanna do the tough stuff . Penrith is one of the few times I can remember it. Our forwards need to harden up. They got bashed by the Broncos. And Martin Tapau beat them on his own the week before. There is no point being tough for 20mins or 40mins. That's why Cronulla are now successful. They earn the right to play footy.

evans looked great against little kids in the 20's who were scared to tackle him but he's proven to be soft in first grade

Mongrel can be a state of mind - you say too often we don't wanna do the tuff stuff - that comes down to being mentally week. So we need to be mentally tough via a mongrel mentality

When was the last time in recent history that a Balmain Jr forward has excelled elsewhere? I can only think of Fifita at the sharks.' Dancin Dallas Evens' is just too "soft" for first grade. Parra can have him.

He was a Penrith junior who went to school in Blacktown & played junior league for Doonside.

Happy to have Kane sign with Parra or whoever. There is no intimidation or aggression in his game, apart from the occasional big hit, which any player can pull off. We need more out of our props than Kane seems to be able to provide.

If someone offers him big money, hope he takes it.

The thing that gets me the most is his defence. He does the arms wide thing, which makes him look like he's after some man love on the field or he wants to comfort the opposition. Good bloke, Kane.
