You cant be too clever ..my son joined the other day and got banned for nothing except may be you thinks its Turk or me on a multiple account ...poor form....my son says where to go...

He done the same thing to 2 of my friends both first time on here all because he thought they were Turk, not from fact but because a couple of other posters thought they were, this is getting worse than the official wall, you are allowing people to personally attack another member with no bannings then actually banning people on suspicion, nothing Lover o Takei or Hickory Dickory Dock said was bad or offensive, give yourself an uppercut

A member here a former colleague of mine whom I played touch football with and argued and talked about league with Bunnywithteeth was banned about the same time as one or your mates and one of Turks alias. No reason was given but he was a thoughtful and respectful poster being an opposition supporter, he started to "are you ok thread?" and his last posts were about Keary and his perspective on him being a Souffs supporter and also on the Moon and Robinson suicides as he has gone though hard times and lost his sister (who I met only a few years ago) to a overdose last April.

If people don't like what Turk or others posts then block them. Turk is never offensive (apart from being warped and shit stirring), biggoted or racist. There are others here who are but were not banned or have been banned for those things but have been happily welcomed back to the fold. Further to continually ban Turk or others who may not beat a certain drum here will lead to less members and Turk is not going anywhere, he is a very passionate RWB supporter and will keep on coming back here ad infinitum whether people like it or not. But we are losing other members from these bannings and for every member who has allegedly left because of Turk's so called behaviour there has been about the same who left because of the bannings and some who left were not banned.

I appreciate being a mod is not easy but I ask that every member is judged on what they post and not on what they may have or may not have done in the past. under previous aliases Otherwise tbh there would be almost no one left on this site.

I just read Hickory Dickory Docks 9 posts & there was not 1 offensive, condescending, racist or disrespectful post so why was he/she banned?

I don't think I'm missing the point at all R6. I just have a different opinion to yours. Yes I can see how many people find his multiple 'silly' threads annoying , but personally I find posters who continually get away with personal abuse and insults without consequence more annoying and deserving of a banning. I'm not having a go at you R6, just offering my opinion. I understand being a mod isn't an easy job, but I see other posters on here who can say something really abusive about another member, get banned and are happily welcomed back with a new alias a few days later.

If all they did was post silly threads then I would probably agree with you but that isn't where it stops, they derail threads that are started with the intention of serious RL discussion which ruins the user experience for those who come here to discuss or read footy related content and the way I view it that's the intended purpose of this forum.

If users can generate some light entertainment out of it simultaneously then awesome but surely that has to be secondary to promoting genuine discussion of Rugby League topics.

There's an OFF Topic section which anyone can go to town on if they want. I think we've been more than generous/lazy with 15th and 16th chances that have been granted and the duration of their stays each time.

Because for every person who says 'let them stay they're a good laugh' there's another person saying ban them because they make the forum unbearable.

Going a bit off topic but Rooster 6 you mentioned the off topic area which used to be good under the former platform. But it has been destroyed by spammers or spambots. Im not very IT literate but is there anyway those spammers or spambots be firewalled against or blocked by the site?

Always hard to completely firewall bots without making the registering process more tedious than it should be for human users. Probably a question better directed at Chris than myself as I don't actually have any control over how the site runs.

Well instead of being a smart arse you muppet, fix the farken problem If you want to be a forum Nazi go ahead, you have the right to ban people but not on suspicion that is poor form and a low act even for you, re instate the people you incorrectly banned and apolagise too them, that is the least you can do, that is if you want to man up and admit to your mistakes
