Friend has had 3 good seasons out of 8 with us. He is just a tackle bag now and offers absolutely zero in attack. Just forward passes and regarded early tackle count kicks. He is Brett a Finch without the personality.

Evans has had his passing/offloading ticket revoked by Robbo. He's not happy and it's showing. As a result his impact is diminished and our 1nd phase relies on JWH.

This is the opposite of Guerra who is a bloody hog

We'll disagree on his role at dummy half. You can't make 55 tackles and expect to be the spritely attacking dummy half as well for a full 80 mins. Put that one on Robbo.

The solution is easy and obvious "make less tackles", then he may have the energy to fulfil the role for which he's paid, quick service, putting some thought into his game, reduce the ill timed and ill directed passes.

I don't know the finer points of the game, but its so disappointing to see Kane Evans the shadow of the player we thought he'd be by now. In the 20s when he and Napa were just coming thru, it was Evans who showed more promise, then Napa just went Bang.....Great for us, but ive always expected Kane will somehow catch up.

That's what puzzles me last night, why wasn't Connor brought in earlier when we had parra on the ropes ? His speed and spark would have killed their forwards who were back pedalling at the time . Robbo is a good coach, a great coach would've seen it and acted on it.

As much as I admire Jake's toughness, I'd like to see him given a spell for a couple of weeks just so we could see what our teams like with a more creative, quicker dummy half.

I have no problem with Friends commitment but I dont think he has the smarts to be the captain.
Cordner or Hargraves should be captain IMO.
