BOTH VERY disappointing this season. The amount of forward passes our skipper throws is ridiculous. Too slow provides no spark whatsoever. & Evans? What the **** happened to him? Loads of potential but I honestly don't know he needs to pull his head outta his ass.

Agreed Friend is garbage this year as he seriously needs to go to Wyong to sort out his game, very slow and inaccurate service from DH these days and his kicking options are usually just as bad, his good game is on holiday's with Guerra's and Fergo's. Evans well like other's have stated looks like Tarzan play's like Jane needs to be shopped around.

If he doesn't make those tackles our forwards don't make as many metres. The game was lost when our forwards decided to start playing touch footy instead of putting the tired parra forwards to the sword up the middle.

Let's be honest here how many of his tackles are one on one tackles rather than just tackle assists, not too many I would say. His main role within the team is to be a good dummy half and in that he's failing terribly, poor DH and poor captain.

This is just a thought. But perhaps, because Pearce is no longer co captain and the duties is solely up to friend, maybe Trent Robinson leaves him out there because he thinks without our skipper we have no leadership? Who will take over the Duties if he is off? I'm probably very far off but it is just a thought. The friend back in 2013 was 10 times better than the friend now, Mortimer coming on and not only letting friend have a breather but he also added some spark and speed outta dummy half and the plan worked really well. Friend is just burned out , the carnt is averaging 53 tackles or something a game. Like said above he is that tired he is just becoming overly lazy.

I agree that Friend is not usually first man in. Remembering his near-death experience it is probably an intentional tactic to follow the forwards where possible. He is not flopping in Hindmarsh style either. Friend gets right into the wrestle to slow the play the ball down as much as he can. That is where all the energy is taken up.


We'll disagree on his role at dummy half. You can't make 55 tackles and expect to be the spritely attacking dummy half as well for a full 80 mins. Put that one on Robbo.

I'm not dumping on friend yet. He's workload is up there with most if not better. Just he's decision making and leadership is the problem. I always thought that JWH would be a good captain but he does lose the plot from time to time and as Sterlo said that Cordner might be leading the Blues one day, I'd say next year make Cordner the captain. Bite the bullet coach!!!
