  • Without Matterson?

I like our future with Matterson,, If Matto isn't our #1 choice @ 6 in 2017 he should be our #1 ball playing/kicking backrower, looks better than Cartwright in the same roll...

I notice today he kicks a ball just like Fittler did back in the day but the kid is also not to scared to run the line and tackle..... He is definitely our best option at a number 6, or for next week play Hasting & Pearce as the halves and Matterson at 13?

Don't think he can fit in the second row, especially considering SST was a beast there today

You are not serious. Better than Cartwright? No chance.
I like Matterson as well, but that's over the top.

Yeh I wouldn't say better than Cartwright either. I like Mat to he has a good long kicking game and good running game but he still has work to do with his passing options. I would still have Pearce and Hastings as my halves pairing.

Why change a winning combo, leave the halves as they are

Not even close to being as good as Cartwright.. Yet. Would like to see matterson at lock next week. Ran over 100m as a 5/8.

He plays like an old fashioned ball playing lock.

Might have no choice but to play him there against the Storm if the judiciary crucifies us.

I think the coach needs to figure out Matterson's best position before the start of the 2017 season and leave him there. This kid might not be as good as Cartwright yet but he has the potential to be. I don't want to see his talent go to waste.

Far better than Cartwright... Offers everthing Cartwright does plus more in only his second or third full NRL game..

With the continued interchange reductions old school locks will return..

Cartwright is fair, but there is far too much hype. Too much hype about the Panthers altogether. They only just beat a shit us,
I prefer Matterson, simply because he is playing for us
