The club are off their heads if they sign him and move Mitchell from fullback
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

        A very good signing.

I was of the belief that we should have signed him in the off season but better late than never.

Even if he plays wing he's a MASSIVE upgrade on Tupou (but then even Justin Carney would be). He's also an excellent goal kicker.

I wouldn't mind seeing both he and Latrell alternate wing and fullback. Gordon can play fullback in defense and Mitchell fullback in attack.

        Less pressure on the kid...

Beside SKD, Mitchell has been a solid player for us this year...
Leave him at FB to improve each week as he has so far...

Gordon is too old if we are in a rebuilding phase...

Elliot should stay regardless & a scapegoat in my opinion...
Don't think I've ever seen him play a poor game...

The Fergo, Burgess defensive fiasco we currently have at the back should be split first......

From a mate close to the club so I thought I'd share. He said there is a lot of pointing fingers at each other in regards to retention/recruitment. It's now out in press so looks like there have definitely been talks. I can see both sides of wether to buy him or not but it just goes to show how bad the decisions that were made last year have been.

He can swap between wing and fullback with Latrell to give him a breather. Plus he is a proper goal kicker.

                I like it.

But this season is over anyway so it's hard to get excited.

Yeh I agree. Just can't believe the club got itself into this position. Getting rid of Maloney was prob the dumbest decision ever made.

In hindsight you are probably right.

Maloney wanted a 3 year deal.

I can understand why the club didn't offer it to him.

If robbo uses the Gordon latrell situation the same as the sheck Mini transition of 2014 it will be greatly beneficial.

They thought Hastings was the future.

I've heard the arguments for and against Maloney being retained. Do people really have a problem with him being signed for 3 years as opposed to 2. So effing what. He's got plenty of footy left in him. Plus he was the true leader out on the field. Anyone could see it.

                              I means Hastings goes.

Really? Why because of Hastings? Your definitely entitled to your opinion I can't understand how they let go of a player that had won a comp with us, was our top pointscorer, our go to guy to make things happen and a player that wanted desperately to stay. I've heard people say he's 30.. So what? most gun halves are past 30years of age. I have never seen or understood the wrap on Hastings, yes he's showed he could be a decent player but no a player of potential to get rid of a state of origin/premiership winning player for. I just can't understand the clubs reasoning behind this after we had already lost RTS..
