I got free tix from work and will be drinking beers with my mates and cheering on the Cowboys as JT is my all time favourite non Rooster. What a competitor and footy player. Broncos are deservedly hot favourites but if any single player can single handedly organise an upset it is JT.

Breaking up the ref pairings so Cummins can be there blows my mind. Has he got naked pictures of Archer or something.Originally posted by 2026 View PostI'll watch and hope that Cummin$ runs into the posts and knocks himself out.
Apparently all the other game managers were surprised with his appointment. They thought Badger was a shoe in.
Cold Chisel are one of my fav bands. This GF had the potential to be one of the greatest days ever however it wasn't meant to be.
I still can't get over how bad we were.
I always watch a replay of our games at least once but can't bring myself to doing so just yet.
Brisbane horror show is the only replay I haven't watched this year either. Don't see the point.

I am very disappointed at the Roosters not being there, but nonetheless I'll still watch the game. I watch on avarage 4-5 games a week, and apart from the Roosters we have the next best two teams that can deliver a classic rugby league game. Of course I'll be praying and hoping the Cowboys win.

I was so shattered last year I went on strike in the offseason. Normally I watch some of our old games on VHS over the summer as I have to watch something whilst doing the ironing but I just didn't have the stomach for it. This year I've already watched round two from 2009 when we beat Canberra in the searing heat 28-4 and Freddy was coach. Funny how we got penalised 3 times in the first 3 minutes of that game..the penalty count after 5 minutes in that game was the same as half time in the grand final yesterday!
It was Gerard Sutton's second game with Maxwell as the main ref..I'm normally one for only watching our games too, apart from taking an interest in what Parra and St George are up to because of family and friends. This year I'm not bitter as I see North Queensland as worthy winners.

I watched it and I am glad. If either team won it they were deserved winners, I say that as someone that hates the Broncos and even find it hard to watch them. (not just that I am old and fall asleep during the 2nd fri night game
)
I hope those that exercised their right to boycott it had a great day as well. The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

unfortunately it doesn't work that way. No one remembers or cares who won the Minor premiership, that's why it's called minor. I remember Brian Smith getting St George to a few minor premierships but not getting them to the GF and he was correctly criticised for his inability to deliver with the best squad. Next season will be the key, I have a good feeling we will break this hoodoo.Originally posted by gragra View PostI think you are looking at it the wrong way. We are the best team in 2015. We came first ...a minor premiership. If it was given the recognition it deserves we would be known as the best ( like in English Premier League). Our differential kills broncos and Cowboys. Ours 291 Broncos 195 and Cowboys a distant 133. We had the Best Attack and the Best defence for 2015. Unfortunately the bad "luck" all came at the end of the
season...the injuries to jwh and Junior, Skd one brainsnap for the year, after having a superb year, the fluky bounce that killed RTS shadowing the ball over the sideline, followed by skd no try after half time. Reverse any of those events and we could've won the game. Unfortunately everyone is judging the season on 1 game, which is stupid. We've had a great team to watch all year and Robbo should be praised for 3 minor
premierships in a row. Amazing given the NRL's 'handicap' system.

I think smithy did get them into the GF but had no hope of beating the Australian Bronco team.
I believe this.... A minor premuership should be called some thing else and they should get the first week off. This is where we missed our chances striving for this and not resting a few. I blew uo at the last round by us not resting blokes that needed it and in the back of my mind i knew we would fark up..... I always said with the way the tsbke was setting finishing second was better than firstTwo things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

That was the old "final 5" system wasn't it?
Week 1: Team 1 off
2v3
4v5 (loser eliminated)
Week 2: Game A: 1 v 2v3 winner (winner through to GF)
Game B: 2v3 loser v 4v5 winner (loser eliminated)
Week 3: Game A loser v Game B winner
Week 4: Grand Final
In 1975 after being minor premiers we lost Week 2 to dragons in a big upset.
Any old timers remember who we had to beat in Week 3 to allow us to flog Saints in the GF? And the score for bonus points?
