  • Kane Evans

How good has some of his hitting in defence between over the last month or so? They're not always visually spectacular but you can always hear the thump at the ground or through the TV.

He was notorious for it in the 20's but finally starting to stamp himself on the NRL. Late bloomer but I reckon it's a sign he's starting to find himself in the top grade.

23, turns 24 at the start of next season.

Most clubs wouldn't have shown the sort of persistence we have with him, I think it's awesome & I reckon he's on the verge of paying us back 2x over.

He seems to be getting more and more comfortable in first grade which is a good sign. I am still not sure if he is a prop though. He seems to prefer to run wide and has more athletic ability than the average prop. He could be very hard to handle in the back row. Where do you see his greatest potential Rooster 6?

The more first grade Kane plays, the better he will get. Watched a lot of him when he would play for the jets at Henson. Not afraid to get amongst it, will be interesting to see how he developes in years to come with his unique style play/build. Is taller than Sonny Bill by memory.
          Is that the full story,
          or is your news limited?

I think he'll develop into our best forward with jared. That's how high I rate the kid.

He goes good, most props get better with age - attitude and injury aside.

I think he is a chance of dropping off the bench this week.. Amazing because he has been massive.

Whilst on big hits, I haven't seen anyone hit as consistently big as Napa since Morley. And Napa doesn't have the luxury of a shoulder charge (usually). He is quite incredible in defence.

He has absolutely no ball skills. It would be even worse than putting Guerra out wide. Worth noting that Robbo even put Napa there before him.

Kane will get there, plenty of ticker.
I love how Napa accelerates towards the attacker as he is about to hit them, no fear.
The refs are acknowledging our hit in D and letting us a few extra seconds in the ruck, that's gunna help at the back end if we can keep it up, which I think we will.

Surely at full strength, hastings will be the one to drop off the bench?

I don't think so if Aubbo plays second row and Guerra lock - which is the way it looks like Robbo is leaning.
